The experience of the ground will surely arise, and after that, realization will arise even more. When the first abiding occurs, like a clear waterfall cascading down a steep cliff, thoughts arise continuously. One might wonder if one lacks the fortune for meditation. The feeling that arises with each thought is a state where consciousness abides slightly. Before there is abiding, thoughts are lost on their own. Even when thoughts change, one does not recognize it. Then, like a slowly flowing river, consciousness is slow and thoughts are few. Then, like the base of the ocean, consciousness abides unwavering and stable. Then, experience will arise, like the center of pure space, experiencing clarity, non-conceptuality, and bliss. Like a butter lamp unmoved by the wind, one's own self-clarity is without distraction. Like beautiful flowers receiving rain, clear, vivid, and vanishing. Like the sun rising in a cloudless sky, empty, bright, and without substance. Like a bowl filled with water, clear without inside or outside. Such an experience has no name to describe it, appearing like a rootless dream. Appearing like an insubstantial rainbow, appearing like a moon in water without grasping, like enjoying the desires of the sky, experiencing without experiencing anything. Non-experience is the supreme of experience. All experiences depart and go, but non-experience has nothing to depart from. The chapter on experience is complete. Having experienced in this way, the wisdom of realization arises even more. If the wisdom of realization does not arise, no matter how good the experience may be, it is like a cut tree that has not reached its roots, and the branches of affliction will grow instead. Therefore, the arising of realization is crucial. The arising of the wisdom of realization does not arise because of wanting it, it does not come from being skilled in analysis and investigation, it does not come from great learning, nor is it the realm of activity for speculators. Even non-conceptuality that stops thoughts, no matter how thick and strong it is, is a great obstacle to the arising of wisdom. The spontaneous arising of the wisdom of realization does not arise from wanting and letting go, nor from being skilled or unskilled in analysis and investigation, nor from great or little learning, nor from good or bad experiences, nor from strong or weak effort, etc. None of these will cause it to arise. Rather, it is understood through relying on the skillful means of the guru and one's own merit. Relying on the skillful means of the guru means that it arises through the power of the blessings of pleasing a realized guru. One's own merit means the increase of purification.

Appears to those with wisdom. Therefore, that wisdom of realization, in order to abide on the path of blessings, is the realm of experience for those with faith, appears to those with respect, is realized by those who have trained. The friend of all is diligence. Those with fortunate faculties see it clearly. It cannot be contained in the minds of those skilled in words. For such a person with understanding, that appearance of non-dual realization, through the blessings of the holy lama, from the center of understanding, the Dharmakaya arises. From the center of mind itself, non-duality appears. From the center of afflictions, wisdom appears. From the center of experience, realization appears. Like a sleeping person awakening, the delusion of dualistic grasping is dispelled. Non-dual wisdom suddenly awakens. Ah! When one abides in that way, one thinks, 'It's a pity I didn't realize it before.' Non-dual wisdom, ah! How joyful. Past actions, how shameful. The so-called realization and non-realization, there the boundary between samsara and nirvana is drawn. Before that, in the state of non-realization, for example, when someone falls asleep, at the time of dreaming, one dreams of wandering in the ocean of samsara, dreams of experiencing suffering such as hell, dreams of becoming disillusioned and relying on a lama, dreams of practicing key instructions, dreams of experiences arising in the mind, dreams of the clear light Dharmakaya appearing, dreams of the darkness of understanding dissipating, dreams of the absence of meditation and post-meditation, and then dreams of realization arising. For sentient beings who have not realized, one dreams of the arising of impartial compassion. Having attained the supreme accomplishment of Mahamudra, one dreams of spontaneously accomplishing the benefit of beings with the form body. When one awakens suddenly without sleep, there is no experiencing the suffering of samsara, no becoming disillusioned and relying on a lama, no practicing key instructions, no experiences arising in the mind, no clear light Dharmakaya appearing, no darkness of conceptual thought dissipating, no abiding in non-conceptuality, no wisdom realization arising, no sentient beings, and no compassion, no enlightenment, and no attainment, no benefiting, and no doing, no truth, and no falsehood, it is merely the appearance of a dream. That samsara dreamed in a dream, from where did it come, and where did it go? That liberation from samsara, peaceful nirvana, from where did it come, and where did it go? All those dream phenomena, from where did they come, and where did they go? For example, a great king, from his throne for a moment,
