That turbulent wave of murky water, if left undisturbed, will naturally clear. This veil of conceptual thoughts in one's own mind, if left uncorrected, will naturally clear into the Dharmakaya. Do not fabricate or manipulate, but release and let go. Do not suppress awareness, but let it expand. Do not crave or desire, but leave it in a state of equanimity. Do not fixate on a target, but let it be open. Do not engage in excessive activity, but remain still and quiet. Without seeking a place to rest the mind, dissolve like rootless space. Towards the past, future, and present, do not think, but let awareness rest in its own place. Whether conceptual thoughts arise or not, do not deliberately meditate, but let them be relaxed. In short, without meditating on anything, let awareness freely expand. There is no need to fear anything. Awaken from the state of Dharmakaya. Simply by loosening awareness, a state of clarity without conceptualization arises. Abide in the mandala of pure space. That is the radiant Dharmakaya. From that state of abiding, when conceptual thoughts naturally arise, do not think that they are something other than the radiant Dharmakaya itself. Just as when waves surge in the clear, unwavering ocean, they are not something separate, the basis of conceptualization is mind, and the nature of mind is clarity and awareness. The essence of clarity and awareness is emptiness, and the essence of emptiness is great bliss. In the nature of mind, there is no darkness of characteristics, therefore it is named luminosity. The essence of all phenomena is the essence of one's own awareness. Since the essence of one's own awareness is empty of a body of characteristics, it is a body without a body, the supreme of bodies. Since the body without a body is the body of Dharmata, it is named Dharmakaya. When conceptual thoughts arise outwardly, Dharmakaya arises from Dharmakaya, Yuganaddha arises from Yuganaddha, Dharmadhatu arises from Dharmadhatu, purity arises from purity, Vajrasattva arises from Vajrasattva, Bodhicitta arises from Bodhicitta. Those who have not grasped the genuine instructions, and are ignorant people without the experience of practice, separate arising and non-arising, conceptualization and non-conceptualization, mind and Dharmakaya into two. They view conceptual thoughts as faults and block them, desiring non-conceptualization and deliberately striving for it, like trying to sweep away water waves with a broom, it cannot be stopped. The non-conceptualization that blocks conceptual thoughts is itself a delusion of conceptualization, a great darkness that obscures the Dharmakaya. Conceptual thoughts aris

Whoever does not want to be distracted? Wishes to abide in non-conceptuality. The demon of desire has entered deeply, Causing the exhaustion of the innate treasury. That great meditator who obstructs conceptual thought, Is like churning butter from water. Even if one meditates for eons, one will not see the meaning. Therefore, there is no need to block conceptual thoughts. If one sits, there is no need to deliberately fabricate. Even if scattered, it is still Dharmakaya, even if abiding, There is no movement from the state of Dharmakaya. If one is seized by the noble Lama, Even if scattered, one is liberated, even if abiding, one is liberated. If one is not seized by the noble Lama, Even if scattered, one is bound, even if abiding, one is bound. Therefore, please be seized by the instructions. As a companion, it will appear, demons will not harm. Without too much trivial examination, Relax and loosen, and abide in silence. Without following after external objects, Release awareness as it wishes. Do not look at external objects, And do not look at your own mind. The body is empty, and the mind is empty, There is no need for fear or anxiety. Whatever thought arises, "This is it," Is sowing the seeds of grasping and the grasped. If the sprout of pride grows, Then the tree of samsara will increase. In the naturally pure, clear light of mind itself, Do not obscure it with the darkness of meditation. The effortless fruit will be lost. In the clear ocean of mind itself, Do not stir up the dirt of desire. The jewel of Dharmakaya will be obscured. In the stainless mirror of mind itself, Do not smear it with the stains of contemplation. The image of wisdom will not be seen. This precious jewel of mind itself, Do not cover it with the clay of characteristics. The desired result will be blocked. In short, abide without the thought of "is," Abide without the thought of "is not." The thought of "is" and the thought of "is not," Are mutually dependent grasping. Because there is no grasping whatsoever, There is also nothing that is not. In the state of non-duality, release completely. Without thinking of placing or not placing, And without thinking of abandoning or not abandoning, And without thinking of thinking or not thinking. Whether walking or sitting or standing is fine, Whether meditating or sleeping or eating is fine, Idle chatter and sleep and so on, It is most important to be seized by the innate mind. The chapter on the method of abiding is complete. This self-arisen Dharmakaya of one's own mind, From the uncorrected, natural abiding, The differences in experience will definitely arise. There are gradual and direct approaches, There are simultaneous and threefold views. The way the gradual approach arises is, At first, it only arises as abiding.
