Or is it? Is it the color of white and black, etc.? Examine each one in detail to see if it matches the bones. Similarly, does the mind abide in the external objects of the environment and beings, or does it abide in the internal body of fruition? If it abides in the body, does it abide in the parts and pieces from the crown of the head to the soles of the feet, or does it abide universally? If it abides universally, does it abide in the manner of outer and inner, or does it abide in a mixed manner? If mixed, when the mind scatters to external objects and things, observe how it goes, etc. Similarly, is the essence of the mind in the perception of emptiness, or is it in the perception of clarity? Is the emptiness in the emptiness of nothingness, or is it in the emptiness like the sky? In terms of clarity and awareness, is it like the light of the sun and moon, or like a lamp, etc., how clear it is, let him observe. For this, examine it thoroughly, as if stone and bone were touching. If you just keep hearing and understanding in your mind without examining, you will not be able to understand thoroughly, so let him examine it to get to the bottom of it. If you cling to wrong views, inflict harm and let him destroy it again, so it is easy to determine that it is not form, color, place, support, and substance. If you understand that the essence of cognition abides in the state of clarity and emptiness, then there is no trick to include the experience of abiding. Therefore, offer mandalas and pray strongly, and let him examine the way of clarity, the way of emptiness, and the way of abiding one by one. Because it is not a thing or substance, it has no form or color, and no place or support. If there is no recognition of "this is this", but it is understood as something like clarity and emptiness that cannot be expressed but can be experienced, then that is suppressing understanding with the mind, and if it is heard, there will be many inconsistencies and it will not last. If it is an experience, even if you don't know how to express it, you will thoroughly understand its meaning. If that happens, then the experience has arisen. However, although one is good at speaking and the words are beautiful, there is no experience; although one is not good at speaking and cannot express it, experience can arise, so the lama must carefully discern from the experience and thoroughly understand it. The previous calm abiding is clear and bright, and in the state of non-conceptualization, looking at the mind nakedly, that is the awareness that cannot be expressed by words. In the state of no recognition, let him cultivate the clear and empty, clear, bright state of self-awareness without distraction. Second, the body posture, etc. is as above, and then the recognition.

From the ungrasping, clear and empty mind, allow coarse and intense thoughts like anger to arise. When they arise vividly, look at them nakedly, and examine their shape, color, location, support, grasping, and form, just as before. Similarly, when subtle thoughts arise or expand, look at and analyze their essence. Likewise, allow various coarse and subtle appearances, such as the environment and beings, enemies and friends, happiness and suffering, to arise or be allowed to arise, and examine and analyze their essence. If you haven't recognized them from previous observations, and if you don't analyze them, you won't have a subtle experience. With coarse and subtle thoughts and appearances, merely staying at the level of understanding without grasping, without a lasting experience of liberation like recognizing someone you meet or like the collapse of a foundation of lies, you must muster courage and analyze until you are completely certain. This will bring great benefit to anyone with decisiveness, whether their mind is good or bad, so don't just stay with general luminosity. Then, through experiential observation, when analyzing the appearances of any thoughts that arise, if you say that there is no shape, color, or grasping, and that the essence of the mind has merged into clarity and emptiness, etc., it's just at the level of understanding. Because the term "clarity and emptiness" is not definite, haven't the appearances of thoughts, etc., merged into clarity and emptiness without stopping or disappearing? If they still exist, even if you allow them to be clear, there is no meaning of emptiness, so restrain yourself and allow analysis. Any thought that arises, while its appearance is clear without ceasing, there is no grasping that engages in conceptualization, and appearances also do not cease to appear, they are merely appearances, without clinging to reality, like something without luster. If you understand that this is difficult to express, then experience has arisen. Therefore, without distraction, maintain the clarity without grasping, clarity and emptiness, or the appearance without inherent existence, appearance and emptiness. Some people say that staring at thoughts or appearances will turn them into peaceful abiding, clarity and emptiness. This is because the thoughts and appearances themselves have not been thoroughly determined, but rather the thought of clarity and emptiness is applied as their antidote. Second, there are four points: determining thoughts as mind, determining appearances as mind, mind
