Look at these ten great (mandalas)! Just seeing them liberates one from all bad states of existence. Look at the root of blessings, Vajrayogini! Just seeing her, samsara and nirvana are naturally purified in their own place, and there is no doubt that the meaning is perfected in this very moment. Look at the root of activity, the Dharma Protectors! Just seeing them, it is certain that all demons and evil opponents will be subdued. Thus, introduce them. This is the introduction to the wheel of wisdom. Second, there are five empowerments: the vase empowerment, the secret empowerment, the wisdom-knowledge (empowerment), the word empowerment, and the empowerment with the nectar of blessings. The first is: the student offers a mandala. To request the actual empowerment, repeat this prayer: Kye kye, great secret, please listen! Unborn body, unspeakable speech, vase empowerment of the non-conceptual mind, please grant me your kindness! Say this three times. Then, the lama holds the vase on the student's head and says: By placing this vase on your head and giving the empowerment, contemplate that the non-abiding wisdom of the lama Vajrayogini has been transferred to your mindstream! Having said this, both teacher and student contemplate, and place the vase on the head. Hūṃ (ཧཱུྃ，hūṃ，hum，seed syllable) Self-born Bhagavan Yogini, born from the supreme place of the three secrets, revered by all Sugatas, bestow the vajra wisdom empowerment. Oṃ Vajravārāhī (ཨོཾ་བཛྲ་ཝཱ་རཱ་ཧཱི，oṃ vajravārāhī，Om Vajravarahi, Vajra Sow). Sarvatathāgata Abhiṣiñcatu Mām (སརྦ་ཏ་ཐཱ་ག་ཏ་ཨ་བྷི་ཥིཉྩ་ཏུ་མཱཾ，sarvatathāgata abhiṣiñcatu mām，All Tathagatas, please empower me). Pour a little into the hand and have them drink it. Just as at the time of birth, the gods... of the gods... likewise with a pure body... Oṃ Sarvatathāgata Abhiṣeka te Samaya Śrīye Hūṃ (ཨོཾ་སརྦ་ཏ་ཐཱ་ག་ཏ་ཨ་བྷི་ཥེ་ཀ་ཏེ་ས་མ་ཡ་ཤྲི་ཡེ་ཧཱུྃ，oṃ sarvatathāgata abhiṣeka te samaya śrīye hūṃ，Om All Tathagatas Consecrate You Samaya Shriye Hum). After reciting this, give a little vase water and wash the head, etc. The words of purification are: Thus, through the vase empowerment, the impurities of the body are purified, and the alaya-vijñana is transformed into the nirmanakaya, becoming the co-emergent wisdom yogini. Contemplate that as a sign of having received the vase empowerment, the head is adorned with the lord of the family, Vajrasattva. The subsequent permission, initially the subsequent permission related to the vase empowerment, has seven roots, five branches, and thirteen (permissions), the first of which is: the lama places the jewel on the student's head.
