These are inversions, etc. Second, contemplate its karmic results: its actions will not produce any fruit. Third, it should be turned towards virtue: first generate the mind of enlightenment, and then eating and sleeping, etc., all should be turned towards virtue and practiced. Thus, after thoroughly contemplating and deciding on these. Second general meaning: One should meditate on the appearance of experience. There are two types: the common yogi, who is called a yogi, meditates on the common appearance of experience arising in the continuum; and the uncommon yogi, who meditates on the definite understanding of the experience that will arise. The first has three aspects: meditating on loving-kindness, meditating on compassion, and meditating on the mind of enlightenment. The first has three aspects: meditating on loving-kindness towards relatives, meditating on loving-kindness towards enemies, and mixing all of these. The first is to meditate on loving-kindness towards one's mother, mix it with relatives, and mix it with ordinary people. The way to meditate on these is to think, "This mother is very kind, may she have happiness and the cause of happiness." Secondly, similarly, relatives have also been one's mother. Thirdly, enemies and ordinary people have also been one's mother, so think that everyone is my mother. There are three aspects to meditating on compassion: for sentient beings who are tormented by suffering, think, "May they be free from the cause of suffering," this is compassion focused on sentient beings; the cause of suffering also arises from ignorance, so wanting to be free from ignorance is compassion focused on the Dharma; all sentient beings are not truly established by their own nature, yet this is compassion without focus, focused on all sentient beings with attachment, and should be meditated upon. There are also three aspects to meditating on the mind of enlightenment: the nature of aspiration, the nature of entering, and the ultimate mind of enlightenment. The first also has three aspects: thinking, "For the benefit of all sentient beings, may I attain the state of perfect and complete enlightenment"; also, "May all sentient beings be placed in the state of nirvana through the gate of the three vehicles"; and, "May all three types of beings be gradually trained, and may all sentient beings, equal to space, be placed in the state of Buddhahood." Entering the mind of enlightenment also
