Accusations, disputes, lawsuits. In short, no matter what big or small unpleasant things happen to oneself and one's side, do not push the responsibility of "this caused the damage" to others, but think: From beginningless time until now, this mind that clings to the self of no-self has done all kinds of evil deeds just for its own desires, and these painful consequences have fallen on my head. Therefore, blame no one, it is caused by the clinging to self-love. Think that it is only this that is responsible, and try to subdue it. All the Dharma emphasizes subduing self-clinging. As it is said in the "Bodhicharyavatara": "All the fears and sufferings in the world, all the immeasurable losses and pains, arise from clinging to the self. What use do I have for this great demon?" It also says: "This has harmed my body and caused me suffering for hundreds of thousands of billions of kalpas. Today, remembering that hatred, destroy your self-loving mind." And so on. Think that all beings are immensely kind. Because, in general, if one does not rely on sentient beings, there is no way to attain Buddhahood. Therefore, for those who want to attain Buddhahood, the kindness of the Buddha and sentient beings is the same. In particular, all sentient beings have been one's parents, so their kindness is great. Also, those who need help and those who cause harm are all helpers and assistants in accumulating merit and purifying obscurations. Therefore, think that they are extremely kind and practice exchanging self and others. Even for dogs and insects, do not be angry, and try to help them directly as much as possible. If you cannot, recite: May these sentient beings, these harm-doers, quickly be free from suffering, be endowed with happiness, and attain the state of Buddhahood. Also, make the vow: From now on, all the good deeds that I do will be for them. For gods and demons, think like this: From beginningless time, I have been harming them, so they cause harm. Now, to repay them, I give blood and flesh, etc. In front of the harm-doer, abandon your body and recite: My blood and flesh, etc., enjoy as you please. Give with joy. Visualize the harm-doer enjoying blood and flesh, etc., and the mind is filled with uncontaminated bliss, and the two bodhicittas arise. Also, when one is separated from the antidote and does not realize that afflictions have arisen.
