In the past, I have harmed sentient beings in this way. Therefore, because of harming sentient beings, I deserve to suffer such harm. Thinking this way, the mind becomes gentle, and oneself becomes happy. Yushima Po also makes others happy. This is one's own karma. One can achieve not harming the noble ones who have abandoned sin. If it is reversed, if one's own bad karma afflicts him, because he harmed me, relying on me, he falls into the lower realms, this is what I bear. My karma drives, this harm to me occurs. Therefore, if sentient beings fall into hell, haven't I destroyed them? Saying this, one should protect their suffering. Those who insult me, or those who harm me, as well as those who slander me, may they all have the fortune to attain enlightenment. Or, even if one repays kindness with harm, one should cultivate great compassion in return. The noble ones of Jambudvipa repay evil with good. Thus. With a grateful mind, regard the virtuous friend as an object of practice. Because the virtuous friend is very kind, he gives me precepts and meditation instructions. Because he shows the path to liberation and is very kind, if one does not practice and guard oneself, one cannot walk the path, and this person gives to me, purifies my sins, perfects the accumulations, and gives benefits, there is no difference from the one who gives meditation instructions, so one should regard him as a virtuous friend. Just as it is said in the "Song of Bliss": Whether enemy or friend, who sees them as virtuous friends in the objects that give rise to afflictions? Wherever these people are, they are happy. If such a thought arises, then the mind is tamed, and even if there is nothing else, it is enough, whatever one does, one can walk the path to enlightenment. For example, just as one cannot find impure things on the Golden Island. For example, practicing Dharma is not to tame one's own mind, but to tame external objects, even if that person is opposed by gods, demons, and humans, it is impossible to make his continuum become unwholesome and painful, so no one can overcome him, this is called a hero. Seventh, in short, all things that bring happiness and benefit, directly or indirectly, are given to the old mother sentient beings, and all their harm and suffering are respectfully taken into one's own heart.

The so-called training in taking and sending, in short, is to offer all the benefits and happiness, directly or indirectly, to all mother sentient beings; to respectfully take upon oneself all the harm and suffering of mother sentient beings, this is the training in taking and sending. The brief instruction is to summarize all that has been said before. Respect is to accept from the depths of one's heart through remembering the kindness of the mother, not just saying it with one's mouth, but practicing taking and sending from the depths of one's heart. In reality, giving away one's own happiness, such as food and medicine; taking upon oneself the suffering and causes of suffering of all sentient beings, this is the cause of attaining higher realms and definite goodness in the future. If it is not possible to take it on in reality, then take it on through visualization, that is, practice taking and sending through thought, and dedicate the happiness of this life through aspiration. As the Bodhicharyavatara says: "If one does not exchange one's own happiness for the suffering of others, one will not only not attain Buddhahood, but there will be no happiness even in samsara." This verse should be recited from the depths of one's heart. Eighth, because there is a possibility of faults arising in all of these, one should not mix with the thoughts of this life in the slightest, and with the wisdom of knowing all dharmas as illusion, one should learn not to be attached to anything. That is: "All those eight worldly concerns, without being defiled by the stain of conceptualization, knowing all dharmas as illusion, one should learn to be liberated from the bondage of attachment." This is the means of counteracting. Hoping to be considered a good person, etc., mixing with the thoughts of this life is the eight worldly concerns, and if it is for oneself, it becomes a demon. Therefore, one must know them as illusions and then abandon them, because the current appearances are not truly existent. As it is said: "In these empty dharmas, what is there to gain and what is there to lose? Who has served and who has despised? What is happiness and what is suffering? What is there to be disliked and what is there to be liked? What is there to be attached to?" And "All is like the sky, may we always hold it in this way." etc. For everything, one should also pray and make aspirations, that is, offer a mandala to the lama and the Three Jewels, and pray. Pray for the blessings and compassion of the lama, the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas of the three times, or pray for the power of all the wrathful deities, the ten fathers and ten mothers, and pray for the power or ability of the wisdom dakinis, so that the meaning of these eight lines may arise in my heart. Pray that I may bear the suffering and causes of suffering of all sentient beings.
