Devoid of arising, ceasing, and abiding, not established as any entity, like the sky; therefore, the body is like an illusion, speech is like an echo, and the mind is without inherent existence, so it naturally abides in the state of non-inherent existence, it is said. May the instructions passed down from glorious Dipamkara Shri Jnana (Atisha) be auspicious! This is the Seven Points of Mind Training by Jowo (Atisha). Homage to the Guru). The essence of the path of all Buddhas of the three times, Compassion and emptiness united, To the compassionate Bodhichitta that can equalize self and others and exchange happiness and suffering, I pay homage! The ultimate emptiness, the equality of self and others, Without enemies or friends, the equalizing Bodhichitta. Whoever generates it will attain enlightenment, Without adding or subtracting, I write according to the words of the Lama. Here, in order to inspire faith and provide a reliable basis, the history of the Lama lineage is recounted, and in order to receive blessings, the practice of Lama Yoga, the cultivation of loving-kindness towards sentient beings, the cultivation of compassion through the three spheres, the introduction to the two aspects of Bodhichitta (aspiration and action), the transformation of obstacles into the path, and the focused meditation on specific objects, are the seven aspects. The first aspect is: Although Jowo (Atisha) had many Lamas, the lineage here is: Vajradhara (藏文:རྡོ་རྗེ་འཆང༌།), Tailopa (藏文:ཏཻ་ལོ་པ།), Naropa (藏文:ནཱ་རོ་པ།), Dombipa (藏文:ཌོམྦི་པ།), Jowo Rinpoche (Atisha) (藏文:ཇོ་བོ་རྗེ།), Dzeng Wangchuk Gyaltsen (藏文:འཛེང་དབང་ཕྱུག་རྒྱལ་མཚན།), Putowa (藏文:པུ་ཏོ་བ།), Gya Chakriwa (藏文:རྒྱ་ལྕགས་རི་བ།), Lhari Tsagyapa (藏文:ལྷ་རི་རྩ་བརྒྱད་པ།), Dagpo Lhaje (藏文:དྭགས་པོ་ལྷ་རྗེ།), Phagdru (藏文:ཕག་གྲུ།), Gya Gomriwa Shipo (藏文:རྒྱ་སྒོམ་རི་བ་ཞིག་པོ།), Gya Khariwa (藏文:རྒྱ་མཁར་རི་བ།), Rinchen Drakmarwa (藏文:རིན་ཆེན་བྲག་དམར་བ།), Zhang Drakkarwa (藏文:ཞང་བྲག་དཀར་བ།), Lama Konchok Jangchub Pal (藏文:བླ་མ་དཀོན་མཆོག་བྱང་ཆུབ་དཔལ།), Zhonnu Drak (藏文:གཞོན་ནུ་གྲགས།), Lopon Zhang (藏文:སློབ་དཔོན་ཞང༌།), who passed it on to Sherab Sonam (藏文:ཤེས་རབ་བསོད་ནམས་ལ།), who passed it on to Tsondu (藏文:བརྩོན་འགྲུས་ལ།), who passed it on to Lopon Chokchok (藏文:སློབ་དཔོན་ཆོས་མཆོག་ལ།), who passed it on to Lopon Tsultrim Pal (藏文:སློབ་དཔོན་ཚུལ་ཁྲིམས་དཔལ་ལ།), who passed it on to Buddha Ratna (藏文:བུདྡྷ་རཏྣ་ལ།), who passed it on to Kirti Shila (藏文:ཀཱིརྟྟི་ཤཱི་ལ་ལ།), who passed it on to Chöje Gyalwa Zangpo (藏文:ཆོས་རྗེ་རྒྱལ་བ་བཟང་པོ་ལ།), who passed it on to Chöje Sonam Rinchen (藏文:ཆོས་རྗེ་བསོད་ནམས་རིན་ཆེན་ལ།), who passed it on to Zhonnu Gyalchok (藏文:གཞོན་ནུ་རྒྱལ་མཆོག་ལ།), who passed it on to me. Secondly, to practice Guru Yoga in order to receive blessings, is to generate the mind of enlightenment for the benefit of all sentient beings, and then to visualize one's root Guru on a lotus and moon seat. From the Guru's heart, rays of light radiate and strike all those connected to the Dharma, then gather back and dissolve into the Guru. Similarly, visualize the lineage Lamas, the assembly of Yidam deities, and the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas.
