What is the use of relying? Also, Chandragomin says: The tree of the mind is without beginning. It needs to be moistened by the juice of the mouth of affliction. Just as it cannot be made into a delicious thing, what will the drops of the water of virtue become? Like this, if these are made into constant practice, then they follow what the mind is accustomed to. At first, it is difficult to train the mind, but later it will naturally enter into it. Now, if you are made to meditate on impermanence, etc., even if you have not meditated last year, you will still have the thought that I will die, and you will feel sad. Now, no matter what you meditate on, your knowledge has become dull and it seems that you will not get it, so you make excuses. However, according to the words of the holy lamas, as soon as you meditate, sadness will come continuously. If that happens, then as soon as you meditate on emptiness, etc., it will arise, and all the paths will be completed in a short time. Gyalwa Yang Gonpa said: The habits of bad thoughts are like old paper. Even if a new experience is born, it will be destroyed by conditions. A short time will not cut off delusion. Meditate for a long time, all great meditators. Again, Yang Gonpa said: Lama Zhang wants the sign of warmth to arise immediately. It is a sign of procrastination. If you need to prolong it, what should you do? What to do. If you need to prolong it, do not get close to desire. Eat the flour dough offering. This is very important. This is a teaching that I have experienced. Since beginningless time, you need to abandon what you are used to and generate what you are not used to, so you need to prolong the time of meditation. Eighteenth, relying on the causes and conditions for generating practice in the continuum: The virtuous friends said: When meditating like this, taking impermanence as an example, you should also think as much as possible until you have a definite understanding. If you do not have a definite understanding, then arrange offerings to the Three Jewels and perform the seven-branch offering. Think again. If it still does not arise, then do not force it, but think about karma and its effects, etc. If it still does not arise, then you should purify your sins. If it still does not arise, then you should follow your own wishes and think about anything that can arise. If it can arise, then you should abandon the others and focus on it. For example, when meditating on impermanence, you should rely on lamas and friends who are diligently meditating on impermanence. When reading scriptures, you should also read about impermanence.

All accumulation of merit and purification of obscurations are done for the sake of generating the mind of impermanence. Je Rinpoche said: First, relying on the power of the field, The power of inner thought will arise, The works of virtuous friends and offering to the Three Jewels, Should be relied upon with continuous practice. As it says. Offer offerings and tormas to the deities, lamas, and Dharma protectors, and pray for it to arise. Thinking well about the benefits of meditating on them and the faults of not meditating on them, constantly generate a strong desire to train the mind in this. Not only during the session, but also during breaks between sessions, repeatedly rely on the mindfulness and awareness of the two essential points: that there is no certainty when death will come, and that it is absolutely necessary. Extract the sharp and clear words from it and cultivate mindfulness. Not to mention worldly affairs, but also reduce other Dharma-related activities as much as possible. Whatever unwanted obstacles and hindrances arise, eliminate them with the very practice you are cultivating. In general, abandon all factors that become obstacles, gather all indispensable favorable conditions, and now think that there is nothing else to do besides this. Furthermore, encourage others to practice this Dharma, praise it, and do whatever it takes to facilitate its favorable conditions. It is said that if all these Dharmas are complete, then it will definitely arise in this life. Even if it does not arise, it will arise effortlessly in the next life. In the past, a person saw the corpse of a woman who had died of starvation, and repeatedly thought that all women are like her, and his own body is also like her. After he died, he was reborn in India as the son of a great lord who could rival the glory of Vaishravana. He became a son of lineage named 'Son of Fame,' and when he grew up, he was surrounded by a retinue of consorts, enjoying all the qualities of desire and fell asleep. Seeing the sleeping women, he felt impure, disgusted, averse, and fearful, as if he were in a charnel ground, and immediately got up and ran away at night, and met the Bhagavan. Having heard the Dharma, he realized the truth and became the great Arhat Fame. The Bhagavan first taught the Dharma in the world.
