Now it seems that the evening will be dark. Therefore, when all young people have the strength of body and mind, the antidote is also powerful, so overcome the afflictions. When the chest is covered with wrinkles in old age, before the afflictions of aging come, doing everything that should not be done when one should not be old, it seems that bad eyes of others will come. The Blessed One taught three kinds of patience: patience in accepting suffering, patience in not caring about harm, and patience in firmly believing in the Dharma, which are explained in detail in many sutras and treatises. The upper lamas said that for the three kinds of patience, etc., that is, the practice of accepting suffering or regarding suffering as an adornment, it is necessary to practice the above four reliances and other ten precious practices. The patience of firm faith in the Dharma is the same as "Wisdom Vajra accompanies self-nature". Observing and meditating on these is for taming the mind. When Geshe Yonglungpa was in retreat, someone from Tuva asked for a word of advice. He said, "You are ordained when you are young, do something that you will not regret when you die." Therefore, he relied on Chanba, Sotu, poison, and backbiting. The neighbors also pretended not to know him. Living in a low place, wearing ragged clothes, leaving his hometown, drinking the teachings of the spiritual friend like water. This life needs some ridicule. Even if the water leaks from the broken part of the stake, if it can be wrapped around it, it will not be regretted. This is the teaching of Potowa: Generate compassion for the situation of others, and always abide in joy yourself. Then there is Dharma, otherwise it is not. It also says: When the Buddha's teachings decline, the power of those who like the dark side is strong, and the power of those who like the light side is weak. Therefore, those who enter the path of illegality have a lot of help, and they live long and are free from disease, while those who enter the Dharma are the opposite of this. It is natural, so those who practice the Dharma should not be discouraged. Geshe Dunpa once said this to us. Therefore, think of the antidote in this way. He said. Therefore, in the age of five turbidities, it is impossible to be without suffering. Therefore, do not be frightened by suffering. Sakya Pandita said: When diligent, accumulating perfect merit is rare even among a hundred people. When a bad pond is full of water,

Just as something is completely destroyed, whoever possesses wealth, their descendants are very rare. If they have a son, wealth is even rarer. If they have both wealth and a son, enemies will come. If everything is perfectly complete, that person will die quickly. Geshe Kharakpa said: Adverse circumstances are virtuous friends, obstacles are the spur to diligent practice, suffering is the broom of sin, do not regard unpleasant feelings as faults. The Bodhisattvacharyavatara says: If one obtains unpleasant food, one increases hatred, thereby destroying oneself. Whatever happens to me, I should not disturb my joyful mind. If it can be remedied, what is there to be unhappy about? If it cannot be remedied, what is the use of being unhappy? Furthermore, the virtues of suffering are: through weariness, it eliminates pride, generates compassion for beings in samsara, feels fear towards sin, and rejoices in virtue. It is said that if such an understanding arises, one can transform faults into virtues, and suffering into happiness. No obstacles or hindrances can prevent practice, just as Potowa said: Some people say that even being pricked by a needle is beneficial to a horse's eye. If it rains at night, they say that enemies will not come. Similarly, by transforming illness, poverty, abuse, and even the suffering in dreams into the path, one can purify sins and generate many virtues. At that time, it is good to encounter difficulties and obstacles. Such a person will become a companion in your Dharma practice. So, how should one transform suffering into the path? Just as the Bodhisattvacharyavatara and the words of the previous lamas quoted earlier, no matter what unpleasant things happen, one should not feel displeased, one should contemplate the reasons for feeling happy, thereby filling the mind with joy, and holding it with bodhicitta, like the story of the friend's daughter, dedicating and practicing exchanging oneself for others for the benefit of sentient beings, etc., these are the key points of the pith instructions. Even so, if one is sick, for illnesses that can be treated, the wise ones believe that one should seek medical treatment, and there is nothing unreasonable in doing so. The Bodhisattva preacher, whose name was Yeshe Dorje, whose clan was Gya, and whose birthplace was Loro. He first studied the scriptures, and later relied on Sharawa and generated bodhicitta. Shar is near the Sibu La mountain, and Shar Bumpa is at the end of Dayul. The Bodhisattva preacher.
