This is difficult to fathom with thought. Since everything is difficult to understand and is a secret place, this is the profound, secret, and unsurpassed Dharma. Furthermore, since there is no other way to obtain benefit and happiness elsewhere, but it exists here, this Dharma is even more excellent than others. Because everything in between the happiness of this life, the happiness of the next life, and the three aspects of enlightenment can be accomplished effortlessly with this. So, isn't abandoning this life abandoning the happiness of this life? How can the happiness of this life be accomplished by abandoning this life? What you say is true. Alas, this is experienced through desire. Desiring great things cuts off fortune. Desiring high things causes one to fall into a cliff. If one thinks, 'I must have ease and joy,' one knows when happiness will come. Happiness comes when one thinks it is not necessary. Yogis do not want signs, but signs do not abandon yogis, or the sound of Buddha is great. It exists at the root of abandoning desire. Isn't that what they say? Tsangpa Gyare said, 'In the doorway of the experienced, happiness is sleeping by the door, but the delicious eater does not perceive it. In the doorway of the capable, abandoning the world is sleeping by the door, but the one with attachment and hatred does not perceive it. In the doorway where the root is cut, peace of mind is sleeping by the door, but the one with hope and fear does not perceive it. In the doorway of the contented, wealth is sleeping by the door, but the one with desire does not perceive it.' He said. Realized Samten Pal also said, 'Wanting happiness in this life is suffering. If you entrust it to the wind, you will have eternal happiness.' He said. Shawa, the name of Shawopa is Padma Jangchub. He was a disciple of the three brothers. He tamed beings in Gyal Shawa Gong in Phan-yul. His learning and realization were vast. It is said that when he passed away, his body turned into round relics. Gangpa also said, 'Now, if you can trust, you can live in happiness.' Thinking, 'Then I will also trust,' there is no other way. There is no other trick, it is to abandon this life. Shawa Gangpa also said, 'Our life, all the causes of external suffering are the desires of this life, so to accomplish the desires of this life.'

One should restrain from greed. If one pursues the goals of this life too much, the mind will not be at peace. One will not know where to run. At that time, sin, suffering, and bad reputation will come all at once. Therefore, one must turn away from many thoughts of desire. If one can turn away from thoughts of desire, then happiness begins. Therefore, to achieve happiness in all lives, both this life and the next, the best sign is to not desire anything in the heart and not accumulate anything. Not desiring gain is the best gain. Not desiring fame is the best fame. Not desiring reputation is the best reputation. Not desiring retinue is the best retinue. If one practices Dharma from the heart, one must entrust the mind to a beggar. One must be able to die like a beggar. When such a thought arises, then the three, gods, demons, and humans, will surely not let you become weary. For the desires of this life, like searching for dried meat, one creates trouble for oneself. One brings suffering upon oneself. Being ridiculed by others and feeling pain oneself, one will go to the lower realms in the next life, these things will happen, they said. Kyésokpa also, named Samtenpa, was a disciple of Phanyul Gyadrak Chöjé, with extensive learning and realization, established Gomo Ya monastery, and extensively performed deeds for the benefit of others. He had many great disciples such as Yakdé Panchen. He was also known as Kyésok Chöjé. If one can entrust this life to the wind, one will be called a "renouncer." If one truly does not need anything, then fame will spread across the earth. If one gives up body and life for the sake of Dharma, then the breeze of good reputation will blow. They said. Master Nagarjuna also said: When itching, scratching feels comfortable, but not having itching is more comfortable. Similarly, having desires in the world is comfortable, but not having desires is more comfortable. Dharma is the essence of law, Dharma can make the world appear joyful. Because the world is joyful, one will not be deceived in this life or the next. Governing the country with Dharma, and with fame spreading in all directions, great merit will arise, and the teachers will also revere. If your kingdom is according to Dharma, and not for the sake of pursuing fame, then it will bear abundant fruit, and there is no other use for it. This is advice to the king, if you act according to Dharma and abandon the desires of this life, then in this life you will also have everything you want, such as gain, respect, fame, etc.
