Furthermore, form, feeling, perception, formation, and consciousness—these five aggregates that are taken as one's own are also the place, basis, and source of suffering, and therefore are suffering. For example, even if one is pricked by a thorn, there is a painful sting in the body; feeling is the mind knowing that it has been pricked, and that pain is perceived continuously in that instant; or formation is what mediates; consciousness is the awareness of the thorn's prick. No matter what illness occurs in the body or what suffering occurs in the mind, it only happens on these five aggregates. Now, in order to attain the wisdom of the noble ones, which is not associated with the contaminated aggregates that are part of the truth of suffering, one must practice through the three stages of preparation, main practice, and conclusion. This is the thirty-fifth instruction. Then, the suffering of the Asuras (demigods) is: unable to bear the glory of the gods, they are always jealous; they are extremely tormented by warfare; their respective abodes are divided and violated; their bodies and minds are disturbed; and they constantly suffer great pain from things like quarrels, fights, and stoning. Now, in order to practice the peaceful and sacred Dharma, one must practice through the three stages of preparation, main practice, and conclusion. This is the thirty-sixth instruction. Then, the suffering of the gods is: although there is temporary happiness in the realm of the desire gods, at the time of death and transmigration, the previous virtuous karma is exhausted, and through clairvoyance, they know that the result of non-virtuous karma will be rebirth in the lower realms. They must experience intense suffering, greater than being measured by fish powder, for seven days of the gods. Even in the form and formless realms, although they temporarily enjoy the bliss of samadhi, their good karma is also exhausted, and due to the power of negative karma, they fall into the lower realms, experiencing the suffering of formation. The aggregates themselves are the connection and change, and they experience the suffering of formation. Now, in order to be liberated from the three realms and six realms, one must practice through the three stages of preparation, main practice, and conclusion. This is the thirty-seventh instruction. Then, considering the present situation: like now, having obtained a human body with leisure and endowments, and having autonomy, even if the body is burned by a spark of fire, one cannot bear the suffering; even the slightest suffering of cold, hunger, thirst, and fatigue is unbearable. Then, after death, falling into

How can one endure the intense and prolonged suffering of cold and heat, the hunger and thirst of pretas, and the exploitation of animals, etc.? If one cannot even bear the daily sickness and suffering now, how can one endure the endless suffering of samsara? One should practice with the complete three aspects of preliminary, main practice, and conclusion. This is the thirty-eighth instruction. Regarding the fourth meaning, contemplating cause and effect, there are three aspects: non-virtuous actions, virtuous actions, and considering everything as the nature of karma. First, regarding the three physical actions of the ten non-virtuous actions: Killing leads to short life and many illnesses wherever one is born, and the environment is also unpleasant, such as unpleasant ravines and cliffs, which are places that interrupt life, and experiencing the suffering of the three lower realms, etc. Taking what is not given leads to poverty and destitution, residing in a bad place threatened by hail, frost, and famine, and especially being born in the realm of pretas among the three lower realms, etc. Adultery leads to an unhappy family life, full of enemies and strife, residing in a place full of filth and stench, and experiencing the suffering of the lower realms. Therefore, I must abandon these three physical non-virtues from now on, and I should practice with the complete three aspects of preliminary, main practice, and conclusion. This is the thirty-ninth instruction. Next, the four verbal actions: Lying leads to many slanders and always being deceived by others; divisive speech leads to disharmonious companions, and even favors turn into enemies; harsh speech leads to hearing only unpleasant things and turning into words of strife; idle talk leads to disrespectful and empty words. These lead to falling into the place of the lower realms and are certain to experience suffering, so I must abandon these non-virtues, and I should practice with the complete three aspects of preliminary, main practice, and conclusion. This is the fortieth instruction. Next, the three mental actions: Covetousness leads to unfulfilled desires and unexpected things happening; malice leads to constant fear, much fear of harm, and anxiety; wrong view leads to holding wrong views, believing in no cause and effect, and clinging to the bad body of permanence and annihilation. These lead to being tormented by the suffering of samsara in the lower realms, so I must abandon these non-virtues, and I should practice with the complete three aspects of preliminary, main practice, and conclusion. This is the forty-first instruction. Next, regarding virtuous actions, including those conducive to merit and liberation.
