It is not, because the recognition of color and size, etc., contradicts the definition and substance of the mind. It is also not other than the mind, because other than the appearance of illusion, nothing is established in any true thing. What appears to the mind is merely the appearance accustomed to the strengthened habit that has been passed down from beginningless time, just like the habit of seeing illusions in a magic show, and the appearance that appears in a dream. Therefore, no matter how it appears, it is clear that it appears without being. Like dreams, illusions, mirages, echoes, cataracts, water moons, apparitions, and the appearance of Gandharva cities, without support, without place, without nature, without recognition, it is just the clear appearance of emptiness. Thinking like this, for all that is done and seen, such as self and other, enemies and friends, villages, dwellings, food and drink, enjoyment, eating and sleeping, walking, etc., practice the skill of unreality, and practice with the perfection of the three: preliminary, actual, and subsequent. The one hundred and fifteenth instruction. Then, if analyzed, the emptiness of no object is shown. Like this, all phenomena, if analyzed into coarse and fine dust particles, are not composed of parts, so nothing is established, so form is empty.

Whatever the nature of knowing is realized to be in its own time, it is clear and distinct. It is self-illuminating without support. Although it appears clearly, it has no substance. Appearance in non-existence is like the purity of space, like a clear sky without dust. The clarity dwells in itself, like clouds clearing in the sky. The movement has no object to grasp, like the wind. From the moment of apparent grasping, there is no self-liberation to be grasped. Observe when it arises. Observe when it abides. Relax and release, and by observing the appearance of grasping itself, one will realize that non-existence is clear appearance, emptiness is without limit, and self-illumination is merely the nature of being without support. This also includes the three aspects of preparation, main practice, and conclusion, so it should be practiced. This is the one hundred and seventeenth instruction. Then, if you examine it, it will reveal the emptiness that is without root. Thus, even the self-illuminating, unsupported knowing, the outer appearance, the inner aggregates, the intermediate movement, the self-abiding knowing, its own nature, shape, color, the three states of arising, ceasing, and abiding, the nature, identification, etc., if you break it down and examine it, you will realize that it does not establish any nature, it has no root, no support, and the reality that is free from the extremes of existence and non-existence. During these times, devotion to the lama is most important. This is the one hundred and eighteenth instruction. The second topic is cultivating the mind by meditating on its natural state, which has two aspects: a general presentation of the meditation methods for the three faculties, and a specific explanation of the differences between skillful methods. First, since the text is related to understanding the view, in order to make it easier to understand, even though the highest faculty has been mentioned earlier, here, according to the order of entry, the meditation methods for the inferior, intermediate, and superior faculties will be presented in sequence. First, in the stage of the inferior faculty, the practice of calming abiding, developing insight, and meditating on union. First, there are three parts: subduing conceptual thoughts. After practicing guru yoga, from the seven aspects of Vairochana's posture, especially with the two hands covering the knees, the neck slightly raised, clearly visualizing the three channels, from the tip of the single uma, the clear light wind, like smoke, white and clear, blue and flowing, red and radiant, yellow and bright, green and dark, cyan and gray, the five colors go forward like a twisted rope. When the breath comes in, visualize entering the inner cavity, counting from one to five in your mind, and turning one mala for each recitation, thus the coarse conceptual thoughts
