It is necessary to attain the guide of all supports, the supreme and main one, who has become refuge, light, and companion. Without attaining Buddhahood, there is no benefit; even to attain Buddhahood, one cannot attain it without practicing the path. Therefore, one must practice no matter what. One must emulate the accomplished masters and practice single-mindedly. They endured many hardships. Just as they were liberated by practicing alone in solitude, I too must abandon the activities of this life and practice in a solitary and secluded place, so I think. Therefore, one will not attain Buddhahood without practice, so the arising of the thought that one must practice no matter what is the measure of accomplishment. Therefore, there is a need for perseverance in practice. To clarify this: The Buddha possesses the three bodies and immeasurable qualities. One can attain what one has by practicing it. Like a young man recovering from measles, he does not regress. For the state of permanent bliss, endure hardships and accomplish it. Sixth, training the mind by contemplating the guru's instructions: The captain who liberates from the boundless ocean of samsara is the guru, and the great boat of the method of liberation is the guru's instructions. Therefore, one must practice as it is said. If one does not practice, one will be tormented forever by the disease of suffering, so the guru, the king of doctors, is of great compassion, and with the nectar-like medicine of instructions, one must persevere day and night and practice. Thinking of practicing, contemplating from many reasons and practicing, what is the use of the activities of this life? Only the guru's instructions should be practiced, this is the measure of accomplishment. Therefore, one should not put one's mind on other things, but should devote oneself single-mindedly to the instructions. To clarify this: The guru is the doctor, the instructions are the essence of nectar. It is the great ship that liberates from the ocean of samsara. It is the supreme staircase to ascend to the palace of liberation. Persevere day and night, and practice its meaning. Seventh, training the mind by relying on non-conceptualization: That is, conceptual thought is great ignorance, it is the cause of falling into the ocean of samsara. As it is said, in the past, due to the conceptual thoughts of ignorance, one has repeatedly wandered and wandered in the three realms of samsara and suffered. Now, one must train through the thought of attaining unsurpassed enlightenment.

There are three ways of being: bliss-emptiness, clarity-emptiness, and purification through reliance on the non-conceptual nature of reality. The first is to assume the seven-point posture and visualize oneself in the center of a vast, unobstructed space, with the central channel as straight as an arrow shaft, medium in size, white on the outside and red on the inside, clear, luminous, and hollow. Its upper end opens at the Brahma aperture, and its lower end is straight and located four fingers below the navel. In this clear visualization, at the upper end, visualize the white syllable "Hum" (Tibetan: ཧཾ་, Sanskrit Devanagari: हं, Sanskrit Romanization: haṃ, Literal Chinese meaning: Hum), representing the nature of skillful means, with its head pointing downwards, appearing blissful and on the verge of dripping. At the lower end, visualize the red syllable "Ah" (Tibetan: ཨ་, Sanskrit Devanagari: अ, Sanskrit Romanization: a, Literal Chinese meaning: Ah), representing the nature of wisdom, with its head pointing upwards, appearing blazing. Once this is clear, exhale the three impurities of breath. Then, slowly inhale the upper breath and contract the lower breath, causing the fire of tummo, arising from the syllable "Ah" (Tibetan: ཨ་, Sanskrit Devanagari: अ, Sanskrit Romanization: a, Literal Chinese meaning: Ah) and possessing four qualities, to blaze upwards in the hollow of the central channel with a red glow. When the "Hum" (Tibetan: ཧཾ་, Sanskrit Devanagari: हं, Sanskrit Romanization: haṃ, Literal Chinese meaning: Hum) at the crown of the head is touched, the stream of blissful bodhicitta descends gradually, like the roots of a tree being moistened with butter, causing a great fire to blaze from the syllable "Ah" (Tibetan: ཨ་, Sanskrit Devanagari: अ, Sanskrit Romanization: a, Literal Chinese meaning: Ah) at the navel. Visualize the essence of the moon melting into nectar, filling the central channel and the four chakras within the body, giving rise to the wisdom of bliss and warmth. Do not focus the mind on "Ah Hum" (Tibetan: ཨ་ཧཾ་, Sanskrit Devanagari: अः हुं, Sanskrit Romanization: ah hum, Literal Chinese meaning: Ah Hum), but rather fix the mind on a clear and radiant white syllable "Ah" (Tibetan: ཨ་, Sanskrit Devanagari: अ, Sanskrit Romanization: a, Literal Chinese meaning: Ah) at the heart, and engage in vase breathing. If this is not possible, inhale slightly and suppress the breath. Then, exhale with a subtle and extended force. Strive in this way until you can accomplish any of the three types of vase breathing: large, medium, or small. When you are not yet accustomed, do not make the breath too forceful, but keep it gentle and moderate. Once you are accustomed, through bliss, the wisdom of emptiness, born from skillful means, will arise. The second is to exhale a subtle and extended breath from both nostrils, focusing on visualizing all the objects of the six senses dissolving into the nature of the sky, becoming bluish-green, and then suppress the breath. Then, slowly inhale the breath, visualizing the objects of appearance, having become the nature of the sky, entering through the nostrils and remaining at the navel in a bluish-green form, and engage in vase breathing. If the body is predominantly hot, contemplate the breath as having a cooling nature; if the body is predominantly cold, contemplate the touch as having a warming nature. In this way, through great effort, practice the vase breathing that possesses four aspects, so that even if you retain the breath for a long time, you will not feel fatigued.
