It also appears in four postures. The treasure lineage of Dakini Heart Drop, which was heard by Lord Rangjung (Rangjung Dorje, the Third Karmapa, 1284-1339) due to karmic connection, still exists without interruption. We have also received all of these as the spring of good fortune, so all the doors have become a confluence of one river. Moreover, the personal lineage of Karma Heart Drop has been transmitted continuously from the feet of Rangjung. The glorious Pawa Tsuklak Gawa, Kunkhyen Chokyi Jungne (the Eighth Karmapa, 1507-1554), the Thirteenth Lord Dudul Dorje, Pawa Tsuklak Chokyi Gyalpo, and the Omniscient Gyalwang Karmapa Tekchok Dorje bestowed their kindness in the form of oral instructions. This is just a brief mention here. For more details, there is the Great Transmission Method of Secret Heart Drop, or the Precious Rosary of the History of Yangtik, and the Supplement to the Lineage of Mother and Son Heart Drop - The Iron Hook that Draws Certainty, composed by the Great Treasure Revealer, which will be discussed here. Second, there are two empowerments that ripen: the root empowerment and the life-vow. First, in the Thal 'gyur, it says: "Empowerment in four ways, ripens the fortunate ones. With elaboration, without elaboration, extremely without elaboration, and likewise extremely without elaboration. In the manner of four distinctions, it ripens the self-continuum of the fortunate ones." This explains that, in general, in the case of the three yogas here, without relying on austerities etc. like the lower vehicles, the teachings of transforming the five poisons into the path purify the habitual patterns of conceptualization of maturation with special skillful means, and make the self-arisen wisdom manifest. The word Abhiṣiñca (Tibetan, Devanagari Sanskrit, Romanized Sanskrit abhiṣiñca, literal Chinese meaning: empowerment) means to pour or infuse, so from the aspect of purifying all non-existent habitual patterns of samsara, it is pouring, and because it makes the nature of the ground, which is the three kayas that have always been present as self-nature, visible, it is also said to be infusing. In particular, here, it is to introduce the spontaneously pure Dharmata Bodhicitta mandala of appearance and existence as the Great Perfection, which is naturally free from elaboration, and to recognize it nakedly. That is, those with the best faculties attain liberation at the time of empowerment, those with intermediate faculties understand the meaning of the symbols and wisdom descends, and even those with the lowest faculties plant the seed of liberation in their continuum. The function of empowerment is liberation.

Or to make the sprout manifest, or to ripen it into a potential that is sure to arise. So it is said. Here, although the instructions are given in the manner of combining the Mother and Child Tantras, the empowerments are like those in the Lama Yangtik, and the method of bestowing them is also to first give the empowerment with elaboration before the instructions; before the cutting through, there is the empowerment without elaboration; before the leap over, there is the extremely without elaboration, and the practice is to give the two, the utterly without elaboration, in conjunction. Second, the Samaya: As it says in the Transcendence of Extremes: "The Samaya that depends on empowerment, although the specifics cannot be exhausted by words, in brief, protect the nature of body, speech, and mind." Therefore, the mind that never deviates from the meaning of what is to be protected, together with its seed, as it says in the Subtle Elaboration: "Whoever does not retreat from diligence, even in dreams speaks of Samaya, making a vow is considered a precept." So it is. If divided, each of body, speech, and mind has outer outer, outer inner, and outer secret, and likewise, the inner secret two can also be combined, so there are twenty-seven categories. Furthermore, the Samaya substances of secret mantra, the five meats and five nectars, etc., should be kept secret, and the acceptance and rejection taught by the Lama and fellow practitioners should be secretly entrusted. In short, all the root and branch Samayas that one has vowed to keep should be guarded with mindfulness and awareness inseparable. As it says in the Root Tantra of Confession of the Stainless King: "Samaya is like the earth, all fruits and crops ripen." And as it says in the Supreme Samaya Tantra: "If you do not transgress this, the Vajra Holder, the complete Buddha, will surely be attained in this very life." So it is said. Therefore, whether or not the fruit of actual practice arises in the continuum depends entirely on this. Third, the order of instructions that liberate is shown in three: The most diligent liberate in this life, the intermediate liberate in the Bardo, and the least liberate in the realm of the Svabhavikakaya. First, in the great meditation manual called "The Lamp that Clarifies the Aim," it says: "At first, if you do not trust in naked awareness, there is a risk of falling into bad views, so you should first learn the essential instructions for training the Bodhicitta. Then, when the warm signs of mind training are established, guide them on the path with the essential instructions of other secret mantras, for those with attachment.
