It must be done this way. In particular, the body is the support for practice, so if obstacles of illness and evil spirits occur, then as the manifest key eye of the obstacle-clearing nectar tree, if it encounters obstacles, light the lamp that dispels obstacles. Awareness is the root of mind practice, therefore rely on the stainless wisdom that dispels its obstacles, without merely remaining in words. What is very important for both arising and sudden transcendence is the instruction of the threefold sky: the outer sky is the cloudless, clear blue sky, the unconditioned, dust-free sky; the inner sky is the secret central channel, namely the Kati crystal tube that arises from the golden sea sun, connected to the far-reaching butter lamp; pervading both is the secret sky, namely the indestructible bindu in the heart. It is not a part composed of the impure three, but the pure, indestructible, luminous nature. The nature of essence, nature, and compassion, all aspects. That is to say, the example of the first sky is a dust-free mirror; the example of the second is the eye of a straight arrow shaft; the example of the third is like a Norbu Ketaka gem. In general, what is called the central channel can actually be grasped by eye consciousness, and given the name central channel, is what is now located on the body near the spine on the back, called the life channel, which is the source of generating the grasping and the grasped samsara. Here, the central channel established as the inner sky is beyond the object of eye consciousness, located in the center of the heart of those with the five essence channels, and the two branch channels that extend from it to the eyes, the former is called the golden sea sun, and the latter is called the far-reaching butter lamp. They are the dependent, pervasive sky or central channel. Their nature is extremely pure, and they also abide in the nature of the two great essence central channels. They are also included within them, and the terminology of the names is also used together. Both are the inner sky. The secret sky is the bindu with the five essences. Its dharma nature is naturally luminous, the nature of essence, nature, and compassion, all aspects, it is the dependent or pervasive. Having understood this way, relying on the purity of the outer sky, associated with any posture, abide in the inner sky. To this, abide in the secret sky,

May the wisdom of conceptual thought arise in the mindstream without obstruction. Practices such as relying on a dark room should be understood from the Wheel of Clear Light Wisdom. A concise summary of the subsequent conduct of removing obstacles and extracting blessings, from the mouth of the Omniscient Dharma Lord: Whatever appears, know it as the eight similes of illusion, thereby freeing yourself from attachment, hatred, and afflictions. Whatever arises as the play of mind, whether affirming or negating, decisively determine it to be without basis or root, and do not engage in grasping, clinging, acceptance, or rejection. Until self-grasping dissolves into the expanse, meditate on profound instructions and be wary of the workings of cause and effect. Cultivate pure perception and devotion, and ensure that your own mind is without fault. Uphold vows and commitments, and dwell alone in solitude. Abandon distraction and busyness, and rely on the lineage without unnecessary additions. Act without attachment or clinging, and cultivate non-grasping as the path. Always contemplate death, and kindle diligence like a fire. Spend days and nights virtuously, and relinquish the activities of this life. Always rely on the lama, and offer prayers with devotion. Carry the unassigned as the path, and rest in the state of non-action. Abandon the duality of self and other, and sever the root of hope and fear. Transform adverse conditions into the path, and view whatever appears as the lama. Knowing that all is self-appearance, abandon self-grasping and clinging. Since nothing has essence, practice the yoga of non-reality. Knowing primordial emptiness and spontaneous emptiness, self-appearance naturally arises. Abide in such means and conduct, and spend days and nights in this way. When the mind wanders to external objects, train the power of awareness and diligently practice in solitude. When there is affirmation, negation, clinging, and grasping, accept and reject virtue and vice, and train in the meaning of non-duality. When nothing appears as a companion, turn the key points of the instructions and contemplate the meaning of awareness. When fear of birth and death arises, train in the meaning of unbornness, so that when everything, inner and outer, appears as the nature of reality, you abide in the yoga of the continuous stream, free from meditation. Hold these instructions as the nectar of the heart. Furthermore, in this method of guidance, the key instruction for distinguishing between mind and awareness is extremely important, and it must be understood from the later writings of Trekchö, such as "Stainless Sky." Second, for those of middling faculties, there are three aspects to the guidance of abandoning and liberating: the essence, the divisions, and the individual ways of taking them as the path. The first is: other than the ground of primordial purity, appearing as other
