From the opened mouth, the letter A shoots like an arrow towards the Brahma aperture. Focus on the sky, which is like a fully drawn bow, and practice holding back slightly. By doing so, a good samadhi of non-thought will arise. If awareness is scattered and agitated, then focus on the red A in the heart. Half-close your eyes, look slightly downward and meditate. If you become dull, then meditate as before, and thus, non-conceptual wisdom, free from dullness and agitation, will arise like a flowing river. In this way, practicing in three sessions at night will give rise to a good samadhi of bliss, clarity, and non-thought, and manifest realizations and other qualities will be accomplished. You will quickly be liberated into the realm of Samantabhadra, free from effort and action. Here, the Omniscient Dharma Lord said: "Thus, in all times of meditating day and night, because leisure is hard to find, one should strive not to let leisure be wasted; because death is impermanent, one should know that there is no time to delay practice; because samsara is suffering, one should develop renunciation towards existence; because all phenomena are without inherent existence, one should not cling to anything as real; because nirvana is supreme bliss, one should practice peaceful bodhi; because secret mantra is accomplished through skillful means, one should train on various paths; because the Great Vehicle relies on great compassion, one should possess the altruistic mind of bodhicitta; because blessings rely on faith and devotion, one should see the lama as the Buddha; because everything comes down to one's own mind, one should train in impartial pure perception; because samsara arises from delusion and false concepts, one should cut the root of grasping and fixation; because happiness and suffering arise from past karma, one should adopt and abandon good and evil; because samsara and nirvana arise from awareness, one should recognize the essence of awareness itself." Taming one's own mind with these twelve key points is a very important instruction, which should be contemplated from the heart. So it is said. Secondly, regarding the supplementary meaning: The necessity and meaning of meditating on the above-mentioned objects, the signs and degrees of physical and mental experiences, the removal of obstacles and enhancement, and the methods of recognizing the stages of experiential arising, etc., are all explained and understood in the root instructions such as the Copper Letter Box, and their commentaries, the Wish-Fulfilling Jewel, in the manner of adopting and abandoning.
