It is to make awareness self-illuminating. First, half of life is spent in sleep, so in order to transform sleep into virtue, one should practice in this way: Sit in the posture of Vairochana's seven points. Visualize a central channel in the center of your body, white on the outside and red on the inside, or red and white in color, clear and transparent, hollow like an arrow shaft, straight from the crown of the head to the secret place, and in the center of the navel, a red four-petaled lotus, in the center of the flower a short red "Ah" (Tibetan: ཨ, Sanskrit Devanagari: अ, Sanskrit Romanization: a, Chinese literal meaning: Ah), feeling hot, like hot coal blown by bellows. At the upper end of the central channel, visualize a white "Hum" (Tibetan: ཧཾ, Sanskrit Devanagari: हं, Sanskrit Romanization: haṃ, Chinese literal meaning: Hum), head facing down, oily and smooth, with the nature of bliss, dripping down, meditate on this. On the basis of bliss and warmth, focus on one mind. Then, exhale the stale air three times with the sound "Sang". Slowly inhale the upper air, and pull up the lower air, so that the red fire from the "Ah" at the navel blazes, touching the "Hum" at the crown of the head. From the "Yam" (Tibetan: ཉཾ, Sanskrit Devanagari: यं, Sanskrit Romanization: yaṃ, Chinese literal meaning: Yam) flows the stream of bodhicitta nectar, nourishing the fire. The fire blazes fiercely, burning away karma and habitual tendencies. The essence of the moon melts into nectar, filling the central channel and all the channels of the body. When the special wisdom of bliss and warmth arises, focus on one mind and hold your breath as much as possible. When relaxing from holding your breath, in the state of the air descending, practice the previous visualization as much as possible. Second, although it is said that the Sambhogakaya posture is to lie down on the right side, in practice, it is considered that one should lie down in the posture of Vairochana's seven points. As before, clearly visualize the central channel in the center of the body. The special feature is that in the heart, visualize a red four-petaled lotus, slightly open, and in the center of the flower, visualize a white "Ah" letter, shining brightly, focus for a moment, and then visualize a white "Ah" letter on the crown of the head. Then, visualize that between the two "Ah" letters, there are twenty-one extremely fine white "Ah" letters, arranged like a string of beads. If you can control your breath, then practice vase breathing union, if not, then in the natural flow of breath, practice the wisdom of clarity and emptiness as much as possible. Before falling asleep, all the "Ah" letters gradually dissolve into the "Ah" letter in the heart. Then, the "Ah" letter on the crown of the head also slowly dissolves into the "Ah" letter in the heart. Visualize the lotus in the heart closing, and the "Ah" letter within it existing like a lamp in a vase. With the intention of grasping dreams, fall asleep in a state that is neither too tight nor too loose.

If you cannot fall asleep, repeat the previous focus again and again. It is very important to practice without being interrupted by other conceptual thoughts between dreams and sleep. Even if conceptual thoughts arise, do not engage in abandoning and adopting, welcoming and sending, rejecting and accepting, but rather focus your mind on the letter A (Tibetan: ཨ, Sanskrit Devanagari: अ, Sanskrit Roman transliteration: a, Chinese literal meaning: A). In the space between non-deep sleep and dreams, the appearance of conceptual thoughts such as people and houses is the cause of dreams, so do not open your eyes, generate the thought that "this is a dream," and focus your mind on that A (Tibetan: ཨ, Sanskrit Devanagari: अ, Sanskrit Roman transliteration: a, Chinese literal meaning: A), recognize it, and like a thread entering the eye of a needle, you will be able to continuously remember and learn. Furthermore, in the state of deep sleep, the wisdom of emptiness is without dreams, but appears like clear and vast space. Without losing this experience, arise as an illusory deity body and abide in a state of non-grasping and freedom from elaboration. If you dream, gather all dreams and conceptual thoughts into the A (Tibetan: ཨ, Sanskrit Devanagari: अ, Sanskrit Roman transliteration: a, Chinese literal meaning: A) in your heart, and practice as before, and the self-arisen wisdom of luminosity will appear. During the day, also use the power of aspiration and appearances of dreams, and separately subdue and transform peaceful and wrathful appearances. Sometimes transform them into various karmic appearances of samsara, and sometimes go to pure and impure realms, examine their locations, and combine them with fearful appearances represented by fire, water, cliffs, and wild animals, and practice the art of trampling with strong aspiration. In this way, the basis of dreams will be able to transform at night whatever you have practiced during the day. This is initially just a rough outline, and then it will become more and more stable and clear. It is said that when you are about to fall asleep, you can see the surrounding objects, hear sounds, smell odors, taste flavors, feel tactile sensations, and understand the meaning of words, but without generating conceptual thoughts. This is also not not falling asleep, because you will wake up from it. Like this, even if you repeatedly hold on with great diligence, if you still cannot grasp it, that is distraction, so you must cut off the four distractions, grasp the key to holding, and the differences between thinness and thickness, luminosity, etc., which are the same as the common stages of guidance. Third, when the dawn arrives, in the posture of a lion, perform a clear appearance extraction and repetition on the A (Tibetan: ཨ, Sanskrit Devanagari: अ, Sanskrit Roman transliteration: a, Chinese literal meaning: A) in your heart. Gaze into space and recite "Ha" three times, so that the lotus of your heart
