It is said that by relying on it, one can also travel to pure lands and so on. By striving in the preliminary practices of speech in this way, one can temporarily reverse the clinging to speech, pacify obstacles, and purify the obscurations of speech. The ultimate need is that speech does not enter into samsara, and one is liberated into the Sambhogakaya, and one will attain the Vajra speech of all Buddhas. Thirdly, the preliminary practices of mind have three aspects: first, examining the place of arising, the place of abiding in the middle, and the place of going in the end. That is, from the treatise of refutation it says: The mind is the first place of arising, the middle place of abiding, and the final place of going. By examining and analyzing these three in this way, one tames the mind and understands the nature of the mind. As it says, first, examining the place of arising and the one who arises is: in front, meditate on the lama as before, with the body posture complete with the seven aspects of Vairochana and the common posture, and pray. Dissolve the lama into oneself, mix them inseparable from the mind. Abide in the natural state of non-discrimination for as long as it lasts. Then, turn inward and examine which of your body, speech, and mind is the most important. Which of these three, body, speech, and mind, throws you into samsara and attains nirvana? When the mind is determined to be the main one, this mind of yours that does not arise but arises in nine ways and scatters in various ways, is this an external phenomenon, an illusory body of your own within, or the causes of the appearance of emptiness, such as parents? Where did it come from in the beginning? Does mind arise from mind? From what kind of thing does it arise? Look outward, look inward, look upward, look downward. By analyzing in this way, even though it seems to arise after knowing that there is no place of arising and no one who arises, since it is not established from the time of arising, it is the way of abiding of the primordial nature Dharmakaya that has no birth in the beginning, so there is a need to recognize one's own nature. Secondly, examining the place of abiding in the middle is: when one thinks that the mind arises from such a thing, or when thoughts suddenly arise, Does the nature of the mind that arises in this way abide in the external appearance, or does it abide in the internal aggregates? Examine how the knowing of the one who abides exists, whether it is a thing or a non-thing, a shape, a color, and so on. As a result, nothing is established, and the view of clarity and emptiness like the sky arises, which is the recognition that there is no place of abiding in the middle, and ultimately there is a need to accomplish the Sambhogakaya. Thirdly, examining the place of going in the end is: where does this go, which suddenly arises as a thought and then disappears? What kind of existence is the place of going and the one who goes? After the thought disappears
