The garden of lotuses and the Buddha-field, Whatever appearances of experience arise. All of these are the self-manifestation of mind itself, Resting unmoving, as-is, uncorrected. Thus it is said. The signs of inner heat are, from the Lamp of Experience: Heat is obtaining subtle patience, The body is light and bliss arises, The movement of breath is unfelt, Mind itself settles into calmness, Clear and without object, abiding without thought. Thus it is said. The outer signs are, For wealth, relatives, and so forth, Relinquishing all activities of this life, Having little attachment to anything, As the root verses say. Furthermore, The outer sign is that the body's existence is unfelt, The inner sign is that the movement of breath is unfelt, The secret sign is that attachment to things is small, Experience is not named, Knowledge arises as joy from within. The body trembles and shakes, Performs the actions of jumping and running. Speech becomes wild and weeping, Various sounds arise from the mouth. The mind is difficult to let go of, difficult to grasp, Inner and outer knowledge do not flow. Therefore, when a yogi practices, the body may tremble, jump, run, feel hot, and experience various bodily movements; the speech may become wild, weeping, singing, and produce various sounds; the mind may experience happiness, sadness, clarity, and unclearness, as well as visions of being burned by fire, swept away by water, torn apart by dogs and wild animals, and so on. These experiences are not absent, but will inevitably occur. Whatever happens to body, speech, and mind, it is experience. Therefore, do not be happy with what seems good, or unhappy or doubtful with what seems bad, but rather, when any experience arises, settle the mind upon it. Although many signs of dreams are mentioned, because they increase the yogi's clinging to reality, all experiences and appearances must be understood as unreal and illusory. Therefore, dreams must be understood as unreal. From the Secret Lamp: Without attachment or clinging to anything, In the unerring meaning, the ground is clearly unchanging. Having these great signs, nothing else is left out. Thus it is said. Therefore, if one cuts through the clinging to appearances such as the activities of this life, even if other signs do not arise, one can endure; even if all signs are present, but clinging is strong, it is like extinguishing a fire just as it begins to burn. Fourth, indicating the result, the root verses say: When the yogi attains cessation, He will surely obtain a human body, And be endowed with practicing the Dharma, At that time he will see the truth of reality. Divided into two, the result corresponding to the cause.

The result is: When a yogi abides in that state, if life ends, as mentioned above, if meditation reaches the best, one can recognize the clear light in the bardo, thereby perfecting the power of meditation and becoming a Buddha. The intermediate one, in the illusory body bardo, pretends to hold the knowledge of the gods and is born, thereby perfecting the power of meditation. The lowest one, after obtaining a human body, encounters profound instructions, thereby seeing the truth of Dharma nature. As stated in the "Lamp of Experience": When a yogi of self-fruit passes away, with the key points of instructions and the power of wisdom, unimpeded wisdom transforms into Dharmakaya, unimpeded illusory body from the bardo, from the deities and vidyadharas, one is liberated. Mostly due to the power of habitual thoughts, one will definitely obtain a human body, and become endowed with Dharma practice, at that time one will see the truth of Dharma nature. Thus it is said. The result of the ripening of the action of creating a person is: The abiding meditation can liberate the signs of affliction and grasping, whether large or small, thereby obtaining immovable meditation. As stated in the "Lamp of Experience": A yogi abiding in the state of realization, with the habit of clarity and no object, destroys all coarse and subtle afflictions, and obtains immovability in the stable aspect. Thus it is said. Second, the superior insight realization of immovable yoga has four aspects: the method of equally placing in meditation, the analogy of meditation, its warmth signs, and the teaching of the result. The first is: In the root text it says: When equally placed, after blocking the aspects of faults, one possesses the warmth of self-born wisdom, and abides between the passing of day and night. Therefore, the method of equal placement, after recognizing faults, is the method of combining wisdom, recognizing the wisdom of realization, and teaching through the four aspects such as the place of abiding in meditation. The method of placement is: In the "Secret Lamp" it says: In the places where consciousness gathers, comfortably relax the body and mind, dispel the clinging of conceptual thoughts, do not grasp coarse or subtle objects, see one's own mind with skillful means, and look with the eye of correct wisdom. This again has three aspects: First, in a place without external, internal, or secret distractions, the three doors of body, speech, and mind are comfortable, and without scattering the six consciousnesses to external objects, correctly look inward at one's own mind. That is, observe how this present mind is moving, abiding, clear, and blissful.
