The two parents to be approached, there are four types. The uncommon ones are obtained by great Bodhisattvas, countless and beyond words, of various kinds. The uncertain retinue, gods, humans, asuras, etc., are immeasurable. The teachings are various vehicles of cause and effect. Cutting off the great definite time, which is the time to benefit each individual to be tamed. Second, explaining the nature of awareness-wisdom, there are three: essence, definition, and detailed classification. The first is: Wisdom has always been knowing, the essence dwells in the heart. The essence of wisdom is: Awareness is like the sun, from the beginning it dwells in the aspect of knowing, free from all sudden clouds of obscuration, therefore the intention of stainless wisdom itself dwells in the essence of all bodies. The second is: From the beginning it is clear, and knowing manifests through realization. The definition is: From the beginning, the aspect that is clear in awareness, spontaneously accomplished, is known to manifest through realization, therefore it is naturally liberated from all obscurations, and it grows in the mandala of all qualities, so that body and wisdom dwell in the bliss without separation. The third has three: the wisdom of Dharmakaya, Sambhogakaya, and Nirmanakaya. The first is: Dharmakaya abides in the base, and acts as the basis of appearance like the sun. Possessing three wisdoms, clear and abiding in its own place. The wisdom of Dharmakaya abiding in the base is like the essence of the sun or a crystal ball abiding in its own state, abiding in the aspect of empty and clear appearance, therefore the wisdom of the two, Sambhogakaya and Nirmanakaya, acts as the basis of appearance like sunlight. That is also said to abide in possessing three wisdoms, namely, the wisdom of essence, originally pure, which transcends the limits of elaboration and expression, like a transparent crystal ball. The wisdom of self-nature spontaneously accomplished is the basis of appearance of the qualities of manifestation, only clear and subtle, without being a category of substance. The wisdom of all-pervading compassion, manifests from the energy of essence without ceasing, but awareness does not actually use it on the object, it only abides in that aspect. Moreover, if the Dharmakaya has a coarse existence, it will become a substance and a sign, therefore it is not suitable for being signless, free from elaboration, and peaceful. If there is no clear aspect of the basis of appearance, it will become annihilation, like space. Therefore, separated from both, the clear and subtle wisdom, the basis of appearance abides in its own place. The second is: Sambhogakaya holds signs, therefore it shows images. Classified from the five wisdoms, there are twenty.

Five, the wisdom that holds the characteristics of the Sambhogakaya, from the garbha (Sanskrit: garbha, Tibetan: གེ་པ་, literally meaning: womb) manifests five lights, or like the wisdom mirror, it shows the image of complete wisdom, and clearly holds the unmixed characteristics. If we differentiate this, there are five wisdoms, and each one is divided into five, thus becoming twenty-five. These are also from the basis of liberation, the emptiness that is pure from the beginning, and the basis of the self-light of self-illuminating wisdom, and the inseparability of the realm of awareness, which is the wisdom of the Dharmadhatu. If we differentiate this, from self-arising, there are two types: the wisdom of the Dharmadhatu and the wisdom of the Dharmata Dhatu; two types: the wisdom of completely pure realm and the wisdom of the great realm; the wisdom in which all realms are non-dual, making five in total. So it is said. Awareness is empty and clear, and the way it appears is clear and stable, which is the mirror-like wisdom. If we differentiate this, from self-arising, there are two types: mirror-like wisdom and great mirror-like wisdom; two types: non-conceptual clear wisdom and non-conceptual pure wisdom; clear and non-grasping great wisdom, making five in total. So it is said. Equality, in the realm of samsara and nirvana, in the great equality of original liberation, on the three doors of equal conditions, body, speech, and mind, the essence, nature, and compassion abide in great equality, without limitation or bias, which is the wisdom of equanimity. If we differentiate this, from what was said before, there are two types: the wisdom of equanimity and the wisdom of non-ceasing equanimity; two types: the unwavering wisdom of equanimity and the non-ceasing wisdom of equanimity; the wisdom of equanimity that does not dwell on anything, making five in total. So it is said. All dharmas are unmixed, and manifestly realized, which is discriminating wisdom. If we differentiate this, from what was said before, there are two types: discriminating wisdom and the wisdom that completely distinguishes all meanings; two types: the wisdom that arises in an instant of realization and the wisdom that completely ascertains all sounds; the wisdom that realizes without dwelling on sounds and words, making five in total. So it is said. One's own benefit is accomplished in the state of awareness, and for the benefit of others, it naturally arises like a jewel, effortlessly, which is accomplishing activity wisdom. If we differentiate this, from what was said before, there are two types: accomplishing activity wisdom and the wisdom of accomplishing all activities; two types: the wisdom that does not dwell on activities and the wisdom of abandoning activities; the wisdom that cuts off addition and subtraction, making five in total. So it is said. These each
