Appearing like a wish-fulfilling jewel. Thus it is said. Second, the activities for the benefit of others are: He sees with three ways of seeing that are without conceptualization and self-illuminating. Constant, continuous, self-nature, power, and the object of supplication, meeting with them, compassion arises like a jewel, and he performs the benefit of beings spontaneously without conceptualization. After accomplishing self-benefit in that way, the way he looks with compassion upon those to be tamed for the benefit of others is also: In this system, one does not slander by saying that wisdom is cut off, nor does one exaggerate by saying that it is not cut off. He sees without conceptualization and self-illuminatingly in the manner of the nature of reality, which is free from the extremes of both. As it is said in the Tantra: "Emptiness, selflessness, omniscient, self-aware mind, without object or subject, transforms the power of memory." Thus it is said. The way of seeing is also threefold according to the thought of Jey Dro-phuk-pa: The way of seeing with the wisdom that knows reality as it is, which is not different from the expanse. The way of seeing with the wisdom that knows reality as it is in its entirety, which is not different from wisdom. The way of seeing with the wisdom that knows the expanse and wisdom as inseparable, or reality as it is and reality as it is in its entirety as inseparable. Thus it is asserted. The way compassion arises after seeing is: In the Three Successive Stages, it says: "Constant, continuous, self-nature, power, supplication, and appearing from meeting with the object." Thus, there are four: Constant, continuous compassion like a stream of water. Compassion of self-nature and power like the sun and rays of light. Compassion of urging and supplication like a poor person begging from a compassionate person. Compassion of meeting with the object like seeing a wise person acting wrongly. Thus, after these four types of compassion arise, the way of benefiting beings is also like a wish-fulfilling jewel. For example, if a wish-fulfilling jewel is cleaned and offered to, it will produce the desired needs that correspond to one's own merit. However, the wish-fulfilling jewel has no effort, conceptualization, closeness, or distance. Ultimately, in order to be free from the extremes of existence and non-existence of the Victorious One's thought, the nature body, which is free from exaggeration and slander, appears in various forms in accordance with the minds of those to be tamed, and thus the spontaneously accomplished benefit of beings without conceptualization is continuous and uninterrupted. Third, incidentally, explaining the distinctions of the Buddhas, there are three: Dharmakaya, Sambhogakaya, and Nirmanakaya. The first is: Dharmakaya essence, characteristics, blessing.

Three Waves. In order to differentiate the distinctions of the causal and resultant vehicles and wisdom, there is the following analysis of the differences in the Buddhas as taught in the Sutras and Tantras: The Dharmakāya has the distinctions of essence, characteristic, and blessing, and the first of these is: The Dharmakāya of the characteristic vehicle is emptiness free from elaboration, like the sky. As it says in the Madhyamakāvatāra: "When all the dry firewood of knowable things is burned, pride and the like are pacified into the Dharmakāya. At that time, there is neither birth nor cessation. When the mind ceases, that is manifestly done by the body." Like that. The Dharmakāya of mantra is the nature of the sphere and wisdom, the union of appearance and emptiness. As it says in the Māyājāla Tantra: "The world, moving and unmoving, etc., in appearance itself, there is no thing." As it is said. The second is: The Dharmakāya of the characteristic vehicle falls to the extreme of emptiness, while the Dharmakāya of mantra is non-dual appearance and emptiness, therefore it does not fall to the extreme of permanence or annihilation. The third is: From the Dharmakāya of characteristic, blessings and the two form bodies do not arise. The Dharmakāya of mantra is the blessing of the union of the sphere and wisdom, appearance and emptiness, from which the five bodies and so forth arise in various ways. The second is: The Sambhogakāya, the object to be enjoyed and the means of enjoyment. There are also two distinctions in the Sambhogakāya: The distinction of the object to be enjoyed is: The Sambhogakāya of the characteristic vehicle enjoys the white side, but does not enjoy the black side. The Sambhogakāya of mantra enjoys both. The distinction of the means of enjoyment is also: In the characteristic vehicle, there is no means of enjoying the black side. Mantra has the means of enjoying both black and white. The third is: The Nirmāṇakāya, the beings to be tamed and the taming, the characteristic, and the distinction of mantra are distinguished by Gyalwa Yung. There are also two distinctions in the Nirmāṇakāya: The distinction of the beings to be tamed is: The Nirmāṇakāya of the characteristic vehicle tames the beings to be tamed of the white side, but does not tame the beings to be tamed of the black side. The Nirmāṇakāya of mantra has no partiality towards the beings to be tamed. The distinction of the means of taming is also, the Nirmāṇakāya of the causal characteristic has no means of taming the black side. The Nirmāṇakāya of mantra has the means of taming both the black and white sides of the beings to be tamed. Thus, characteristic and mantra
