, and white, and infinite space, and infinite consciousness, called the ten kinds of pervasions, and the sixth group, from the mind holding the colored consciousness as colored, and looking outward at all external objects, each viewing the external colors with small and large aspects, and subduing them, called two kinds, and the mind holding the formless as formless, each viewing the external colors with small and large aspects, and subduing them, called two kinds, a total of four kinds, and the mind only holding the formless as formless, subduing blue, yellow, red, and white and seeing, called four kinds. In short, for those with equal karma, the phenomenon of the four elements appearing as four colors, being able to gain the power to stop those phenomena, making them not appear, and then making all realms appear as only like gold, or only one, or pervading samadhi, are the eight kinds of subduing birthplaces, and the seventh kind, the samadhi that uproots the continuum of the enemy of afflictions belonging to the other's continuum, called without afflictions, and the eighth kind, separated from all aspects of true elaboration, although not separated from such a nature, yet able to destroy the desire and so on of sentient beings who cling to the aspects of elaboration, and able to eliminate doubts, with the accomplishment of aspiration, the wisdom of the Thus-Gone One, during the time that samsara exists, engages in the benefit of sentient beings, and during the time that liberation exists, also engages in sentient beings with wisdom, called the wisdom of aspiration. The ninth kind, seeing with the divine eye all the forms of where one is born after dying near or far from the present body, and hearing and understanding sounds, languages, and various symbols with the divine ear, and knowing all the thoughts and habits of sentient beings, large and small, the wisdom of knowing the minds of others, and knowing burning, flying, many or few, good or bad, walking in water and sinking on land, the wisdom of the miraculous powers of the body, and starting from the present body, remembering the history of where one lived and what one did in past lives, is remembering past lives, and knowing which afflictions have been abandoned and which have not been abandoned by the path of seeing and the path of meditation.
