By the power of samadhi, seeking immeasurable Dharma and making great Dharma appearances to others, so the third is the Illuminator. Burning the two obscurations with the fire of wisdom in accordance with enlightenment, so the fourth is the Radiating Light. When maturing sentient beings, not being disturbed by the wrong practices of others, thus both the field of sentient beings and one's own difficult-to-tame mind are accomplished, so the fifth is the Difficult to Tame. Relying on Prajnaparamita, the equality of samsara and nirvana is manifested, so the sixth is the Manifested. Because the eighth bhumi of the one path is close to being attained, and is related to it, and has exhausted the effortful application, so the seventh is the Gone Afar. Because one is unmoved by the two concepts of effortful application to the characterized and the uncharacterized, so the eighth is the Immovable. Because one has obtained the good wisdom of the four analytical knowledges, so the ninth is the Good Wisdom. With the gates of samadhi and dharani like clouds, below the ninth bhumi, the immeasurable Dharma like the sky obtained from the Buddhas pervades, so the tenth is called the Cloud of Dharma. The second is: Progressing through the stages of purification. That is, with ten purifications such as the intention without wavering towards all bases, the first bhumi is attained. Similarly, with eight purifications such as morality and repaying kindness, the second bhumi is attained. With five purifications such as not being satisfied with hearing, the third bhumi is attained. With ten purifications such as dwelling in solitude, the fourth bhumi is attained. With ten purifications such as abandoning associating with householders for the sake of gain, the fifth bhumi is attained. Studying to perfect the six dharmas such as generosity, and abandoning the six dharmas such as desiring to be a Hearer or Solitary Realizer, that is, with twelve purifications, the sixth bhumi is attained. Abandoning twenty such as self-grasping, and cultivating twenty such as knowing the three doors of liberation, which are the opposite of that, that is, with twenty or forty purifications, the seventh bhumi is attained. Knowing the behavior of all sentient beings as it is, with eight purifications, the eighth bhumi is attained. With twelve purifications such as limitless aspirations, the ninth bhumi is attained. Between the ninth bhumi, with the discriminating wisdom that discriminates the immeasurable knowable objects, with ten purifications such as extremely distinguishing, the tenth bhumi is attained. As stated in the Ornament of Clear Realization: By the ten purifications, the first bhumi is attained.

Like it is said, "The reality of thought and benefit," and so on. The way of transference is: the grounds from the first to the tenth, as long as their respective complete purification is not complete, then it is that time, and after completion, it is transferred upwards. As it is said in the Great Commentary on the Eight Thousand Verses: "Whatever dharma is to be transformed by the complete purification of any ground, until those are not complete, it is that ground. After complete completion, it should be recognized as another ground." This is what is said. The third is: the ten perfections such as generosity are mainly practiced in their respective places, view and discipline are pure, equanimity has no pride, wisdom is obtained, purification is matured, completely completed, and empowerment is obtained. The bodhisattva who abides on the first ground mainly practices the perfection of generosity, and the remaining perfections are practiced as retinues, until the bodhisattva who abides on the tenth ground mainly practices the perfection of wisdom, and the remaining ones are practiced as retinues, combining the ten perfections and the ten grounds in order. The ten perfections are: In the Middle Way, it says: "Generosity and discipline, patience and diligence, meditation and wisdom, skillful means, aspiration, strength and wisdom, these are the ten perfections." And "Difference and no difference are to be known in the ten grounds." This is what is said. Therefore, abiding on the first ground, because of understanding that the realm of happiness and dharma is empty of self and other, it is called a person with completely pure view. Similarly, abiding on the second ground, because even subtle downfalls are not stained, the discipline is completely pure. Abiding on the third ground, because of obtaining meditation and infinite samadhi, abiding very equally. Abiding on the fourth ground, because there is no clinging, there is no different pride in the dharma. Abiding on the fifth ground, because of obtaining the equality of mind, there is no different pride in the continuum. Abiding on the sixth ground, because of the purity of nature, there is no different pride in all defilements and complete purification. Abiding on the seventh ground, because of abiding in no sign, obtaining the wisdom to meditate on the aspects of enlightenment in each moment. Abiding on the eighth ground, because of spontaneous accomplishment, abandoning and completely purifying. Abiding on the ninth ground, because of obtaining the freedom of the four analytical knowledges, being very skilled in maturing sentient beings. Abiding on the tenth ground
