As it is said, "With the lamp of the earth-base water, if one does not distractedly look at it, it is said to be the measure of complete meditation." Accordingly, by looking at the Vajra Garland with the wisdom of superior seeing, the four appearances are gradually mastered through the stages of familiarity, and the door of the realm is opened by the direct perception of reality. From this, the bindu approaches maturity as the body, which is the manifestation of the increasing experience of the incarnate body; the body matures, and the awareness reaches its measure, which is the enjoyment body; then, all appearances are purified into the mandala of a single great bindu, and all conceptualized dharmas are exhausted, and even the mere clinging to reality is exhausted, so the appearance of the Dharma body is seen. As it is said in the "Refutation of Extremes": "By seeing the direct perception of reality, one transcends the limits of mental clinging; by increasing experiences, deluded appearances are extinguished, and the wisdom of the bardo is manifested; by the appearance of awareness reaching its measure, the path of realizing the three bodies is transcended; by the appearance of the exhaustion of reality, the continuity of the three realms of samsara is cut off." As it is said. The third is: hold the three abidings to measure, and fix the three attainments with pegs. By showing the measure of liberation of the four cushions, one transcends. As a friend or support for the four appearances reaching their measure, the three immovabilities of the body suppress the key points, the three immovabilities of speech clarify the path, and the three immovabilities of mind ripen the fruit into essence, that is, the three immovabilities are the foundation. The three trunks of the body are separated from action, the three abidings of the wind hold the measure of non-arising, and the three abidings of appearance believe in non-reversal, that is, the three abidings hold the measure, and when the practice reaches its measure, one obtains freedom over birth, so one truly accomplishes the benefit of others; one obtains freedom over entering, so one attains enlightenment without the appearance of defilements; one obtains freedom over wind and mind, so it is impossible to regress in the three realms, that is, one fixes the pegs of the three attainments, so one becomes familiar with the great perfection of self-nature, and becomes emptiness, so one obtains the four cushions. Among them, the lower two cushions are: the cushion of not being afraid of the suffering of heat and cold in hell, and the cushion of not worrying about the happiness and suffering of samsara. The upper two cushions are: the cushion of not hoping even if one obtains nirvana, and the cushion of not having joy or sorrow in the qualities of the Buddha. Thus, by showing the four cushions as the measure of liberation, one transcends. Two

The exposition of the meditation stages of the Kadampa school has three parts: a general presentation of the practice of scripture and instructions, a detailed explanation of the oral instruction tradition in particular, and a demonstration of the stages of the path to enlightenment by combining the three traditions. The first part is: In general, the Kadampa school has four deities, the Three Baskets, and the Three Trainings. That is to say, the general practice of the precious Kadampa lineage of Jowo Je Palden Atisha, which is famous throughout the world and has three great commentaries, is: taking Shakyamuni Buddha, the master of the teachings, Avalokiteshvara, the master of love and compassion, Tara, who removes external obstacles, and Achala, who removes internal obstacles, as the four deities, and practicing the generation and completion stages. These completion stages also include the first step of view guidance, the second step of compassion pervading the sky, the third step of the five recollections, and the fourth step of the common and special six dharmas, etc. The expressed are the Vinaya, Sutra, and Abhidhamma of the Three Baskets, and the expressible are morality, samadhi, and wisdom, which are the three higher trainings, not just in words, but practicing the stages as taught in the precious scriptures. The second part is: the special oral instruction tradition. Guru, deity, mantra, compassion, emptiness. The fifteen conventional bindus derived from the five recollections, and the sixteen bindus of ultimate reality are used as the path. Among the three traditions of the Kadampa school, especially the holders of the oral instruction tradition transmitted from Phuchungwa are: Gyalwa Drom, Jetsun Tara taught: "Remember the guru, the refuge. The body is the nature of the deity. Constantly recite the mantra with your mouth. Consider all beings as your parents. Meditate on the emptiness of the mind's nature. From the basis of these five, purify all virtuous roots." The meaning of the teachings is guru, deity, mantra, compassion, emptiness, the fifteen conventional bindus derived from the five recollections, and one ultimate bindu, totaling sixteen bindus, are used as the path. Among them, the fifteen conventional bindus are: the five bindus of the container, and the six deity bindus in the dependent sentient beings, and the four bindus of the root and lineage gurus. The third part has four points: a general explanation of the method of instruction, a detailed explanation of the stages of the path, a demonstration of how all of this is combined, and a mention of special additional elements. The first part is: combining the three traditions.
