Regarding the introduction to the Dharmakaya, there are two aspects: Shamatha (calm abiding) and Vipassana (insight). Shamatha has two types: with support and without support. Vipassana has three aspects: showing the essence, recognizing it, and introducing it, thereby eliminating the errors on the path. Secondly, the mind's own power, the co-emergent thoughts, regarding the thoughts of dwelling and moving, and turning away, and the three aspects of cutting off self-grasping, transform the collection of thoughts into Dharmakaya. Thirdly, the mind's own radiance, the co-emergent appearance, is introduced as the self-radiance of the Dharmakaya, cutting off the root of the illusory appearance of the self-appearance and the grasping consciousness of the path-fabricated knowledge, and realizing the play of the innate nature of reality, thereby causing illusion to arise as wisdom. The third is that without separating from renunciation as the foot of meditation, devotion as the head of meditation, and mindfulness as the actual basis of meditation, through the stages arising from skillful means, one enhances merit. This kind of Samadhi of equipoise, in short, can be summarized as three: abiding naturally without distraction, abiding relaxedly without fabrication, and abiding innately in self-clarity without artifice. By this way of abiding, all the conceptual proliferations of the three times are self-liberated and pacified into Dharmata (the nature of reality), which is the meaning of the three doors of liberation. Secondly, cutting off the dangerous path of straying: liberation from four losses and three strayings. When practicing in this way, clinging to all phenomena as empty is losing to habit; after gaining a slight experience of emptiness, thinking that it is enough and cutting off the continuity of accumulation and purification is losing the path of emptiness; taking emptiness as the path and expecting the result in the future, not understanding that what should be abandoned and what should be the antidote are not different, is losing to the antidote; conceptually fabricating appearance as emptiness is losing to exaggeration, these are the four losses based on Vipassana. If one clings to bliss, clarity, and non-conceptuality, then they are the straying paths of cycling through the three realms respectively, therefore one must be liberated from these three straying paths based on Shamatha. Furthermore, one must skillfully liberate oneself from the three dangerous paths where emptiness, compassion, and cause and effect become enemies. The third is the way of arising beyond the four joys and three conditions. Connecting with the three, the four yogas arise in sequence. The four joys are example wisdom, therefore what transcends it is the wisdom of actual meaning. The three conditions of bliss, clarity, and non-conceptuality are experiences, therefore

The self-nature of realization that transcends thought. Furthermore, it transcends the scope of understanding through hearing, the experience of contemplation, and the perceptions of meditation, thus transcending the realm of the three wisdoms. Because meditation, untouched by the three great ones, becomes crucial, arising gradually, transcending suddenly, and simultaneously, connecting with the three modes of arising, one-pointed, free from elaboration, one taste, without meditation, that is, the four stages of yoga, each of which is divided into small, medium, and large, through these twelve, the inner grounds and paths are traversed effortlessly. The four stages of yoga also come from the Āli Kālī Secret Inconceivable Tantra: "With the Samadhi of the Lion's Vigorous Display, unwavering focus, clear awareness manifests. Self-awareness wisdom awakens from within. With steadfast patience, abandon the suffering of the lower realms." "Second, with the Samadhi of Illusion-like, in the great equanimity free from elaboration, inconceivable Samadhi power arises. Having gained warmth, one has power over birth." "Third, with the Samadhi of Heroic Progress, diverse flavors become one, the realization of the ten bhumis manifests. The sons of the Buddhas of the three times perform the benefit of others. Having gained the peak, growth never ceases." "Fourth, with the Samadhi of Vajra-like, from the diligent practice of non-meditation, knowing wisdom, one sees the pure lands of the Buddhas. Without seeking, spontaneously accomplished, in the state of the supreme Dharma." The same meaning is extensively taught in the Laṅkāvatāra Sūtra, and the meaning clearly explained by the great teacher Padmasambhava, Śāntipa, Nāropa, etc., is fully propagated by the Protector Moonlight Youth. The great accomplished ones who hold its lineage have made many extensive and concise explanations of the Dharma. Among them, mainly through the three divisions of view, meditation, and action of Mahāmudrā, yoga is divided into four, three, and twelve, and each of these is also divided into large, medium, and small according to the way of gaining stability, therefore divided into superior, inferior, and medium, totaling thirty-six. For the two aspects of śamatha and vipaśyanā that transcend and do not transcend the world, there are four yogas each, totaling sixteen, each of which is divided into large, medium, and small according to the degree of stability gained, forming forty-eight aspects, etc., various ways of explanation, summarizing the entire meaning.
