Etc. The need is to accomplish the common siddhi and the essence of that, the supreme siddhi. Second, the four types of reasoning are: lineage, beginning, definitive word, and cause. That also has two ways, the way of detachment and the way of desire. First, in the way of detachment, a noble person is born into human life, this is called lineage. Because only a human support can be ordained, and can be detached from desire. Like a king, he must be ordained from among the retinue of consorts, ordained with signs, attire, etc., this is the beginning. If you want detachment, only ordination is reasonable. Even if ordained, one must also keep the vows taught in the Vinaya Pitaka, this is the definitive word. Because that is the place to rely on, it is reasonable. Even if the vows are kept, because one wants to obtain the fruit of enlightenment, therefore, "Conduct abides, endowed with hearing and thought, one should diligently apply oneself to meditation." Practicing the Dharma in this way is the cause, because only in this way is it reasonable to be detached from desire. On the path of desire, visualizing oneself as the five Buddha families in accordance with one's own lineage, this is the lineage, because that is the support of mantra, it is reasonable. Again, the great secret, the Vajradhara of the same lineage, transformed into the form of union, etc., this is the beginning. Because it gives certainty to the form of desire. After taking the vows of the five families, taking the sequence of outer, inner, secret vajras, etc., especially in Anuttarayoga, the vajra and lotus are equally united, taking the asceticism of celibacy, this is the definitive word. Because that is the place to rely on without a doubt. Through coquetry and laughter, etc., practicing the secret Dharma that makes desire a path, this is the cause, because it enables one to obtain the body of great bliss. Third, the six limits are: provisional and definitive, with intention and without intention, literal and non-literal. Because the meaning of the words does not go beyond these, it is called limit. Among them, for those who do not actually have the true capacity, the Victorious One hid it, and in order to guide them, he taught the generation stage with its limbs, etc., this is like the provisional explanation. The definitive has two types: the nature of the true generation stage and the common one. For example, "Camphor is semen." Etc., as said in Yeshe Dorje (Tibetan place name). True and correct

Furthermore, regarding the aspects of cause, continuity, innate nature, and the completion stage, it is the definitive meaning that elucidates these meanings. In order to reveal the true nature to those who desire the supreme, and to prevent self-proclaimed teachers, (the scriptures say): "You should kill sentient beings." Like this, because it is condemned by the virtuous people of the world, what is said with words that contradict these is the intentional meaning. For example, saying to kill sentient beings refers to stopping the karmic winds. And using contradictory words is also to accept butchers and others. For those dull-witted individuals who are not vessels for the intentional meaning, clearly showing the true nature of the Dharma of the generation stage, that is, emptiness and luminosity, etc., this is not the intentional meaning. The outer mandala and fire offerings, etc., and the rituals of action practices, what is said in accordance with the lower tantras is the literal meaning. The words "Ko Ta Khya Ba" etc., have not appeared in either the world or the scriptures, and are only terms used by the Tathagata at that time, this is not the non-literal meaning. Fourth, the four modes are: the meaning of words or letters, the general meaning, the hidden meaning, and the ultimate meaning. The first is: explaining the letters and syllables through case endings, suffixes, etc. The general meaning is divided into two types: the general meaning of the Sutras, etc., and the general meaning of the generation stage. The first is, entering the Sutras, etc., and reversing the regret of entering the Mantras. The first, here: "Even if one practices asceticism and vows, it will not be accomplished and will be difficult to achieve. If one enjoys all the qualities of desire, one will quickly achieve it without a doubt." Like this, realizing that the previous path and the way of entering are easy, if one does not enter such a Dharma that can achieve Buddhahood in one lifetime, but enters the Sutras or Kriya Tantra, etc., if one regrets saying it is not good, then by generating aversion to samsara and generating desire for Bodhicitta, it is not reasonable to enter this Dharma without entering the Sutras. And, "Endowed with skillful means and purity, afflictions are transformed into limbs of enlightenment." etc., if one possesses the superior sharp faculties of skillful means and wisdom, then the path and the way of entering are easy, therefore one can attain Bodhi, and the Sutras, etc., also have such explanations, so it is said to be the general meaning. The second, reversing the regret of entering the Mantras is: the Sutras and Kriya Tantra, etc., teach bathing, cleanliness, and fasting, etc.
