There are two: the signifier and the signified. The first is: the five great emptiness letters that represent it, the six empty bindu letters, and the shape of the union of E-VAM In order to represent the root tantra, in all the tantras, the sound of E-VAM (藏文:ཨེ་ཝཾ,梵文天城体:एवं,梵文罗马拟音:evaṃ,汉语字面意思: 诶വം) is used to indicate it. This includes not only the root tantra, but also the path and the fruit, and all the dualistic dharmas. Among them, in the King of Tantras, the Magical Net of Manjushri, it says: "The five great emptiness letters, the six empty bindu letters." These two, combined into the shape of the union of E-VAM (藏文:ཨེ་ཝཾ,梵文天城体:एवं,梵文罗马拟音:evaṃ,汉语字面意思: 诶വം), are the signifier. In the Great Commentary on Sound Accomplishment, "Immaculate Light," there is an explanation of this. To put it briefly, it is the explanation of VAM (藏文:ཝཾ,梵文天城体:vam,梵文罗马拟音:vaṃ,汉语字面意思:വം) and the explanation of E (藏文:ཨེ,梵文天城体:e,梵文罗马拟音:e,汉语字面意思:诶). First, the letter VAM (藏文:ཝཾ,梵文天城体:vam,梵文罗马拟音:vaṃ,汉语字面意思:വം) is the nature of the five great immutable emptinesses. Among them, the first great immutable emptiness is: in the six aggregates, it is the aggregate of wisdom and the aggregate of consciousness; in the six elements, it is the element of wisdom and the element of space; in the six faculties, it is the faculty of mind and the faculty of ear; in the six objects, it is dharma and sound; in the six karmic powers, it is the supreme power and the bhaga power; in the six actions of karmic power, it is leaking urine and transferring semen, etc. In addition, in the center is the letter A (藏文:ཨ,梵文天城体:अ,梵文罗马拟音:a,汉语字面意思:阿), marked with an unspeakable pattern in the shape of a curved knife, which is the nature of the wisdom of the dharmadhatu. The second great immutable emptiness is: the aggregate of formation, the element of wind, the faculty of nose, the object of smell, the karmic power of speech, and the action of karmic power - speech, etc. In addition, in the east is the letter I (藏文:ཨི,梵文天城体:इ,梵文罗马拟音:i,汉语字面意思:伊), in the shape of a stick, which is the nature of the wisdom of accomplishing action. The third great immutable emptiness is: the aggregate of feeling, the element of fire, the faculty of tongue, the object of taste, the karmic power of hand, and the action of karmic power - taking, etc. In addition, in the south is the letter Ṛ (藏文:རྀ,梵文天城体:ऋ,梵文罗马拟音:ṛ,汉语字面意思:热), in the shape of a yoke, which is the nature of the wisdom of equality. The fourth great immutable emptiness is: the aggregate of perception, the element of water, the faculty of eye, the object of form, the karmic power of foot, and the action of karmic power - walking, etc. In addition, in the north is the letter U (藏文:ཨུ,梵文天城体:उ,梵文罗马拟音:u,汉语字面意思:乌), in the shape of a bindu, which is the nature of the wisdom of discriminating awareness. The fifth great immutable emptiness is: the aggregate of form, the element of earth, the faculty of body, the object of touch, the karmic power of the anus, and the action of karmic power - excretion, etc. In addition, in the west is the letter Ḷ (藏文:ལྀ,梵文天城体:ऌ,梵文罗马拟音:ḷ,汉语字面意思:勒), in the shape of a skull, which is the nature of mirror-like wisdom. Therefore, it cannot be expressed in either vowels or consonants.

Gathering the lines of the five postures, the line of the curved knife represents the center, the skull represents the head, the wooden staff represents the feet, the short stick represents the lunar phase, and the dot above the lunar phase forms the shape of a dot with nada. From this, with the certainty of body mindfulness, visualize the manifest body as the Tibetan letter vam (Tibetan: ཝཾ།, Sanskrit Devanagari: वं, Sanskrit Romanization: vaṃ, Chinese literal meaning: vam), perfected like the root vowels i (Tibetan: ཨི་, Sanskrit Devanagari: इ, Sanskrit Romanization: i, Chinese literal meaning: i), ri (Tibetan: རྀ, Sanskrit Devanagari: ऋ, Sanskrit Romanization: ṛ, Chinese literal meaning: ri), u (Tibetan: ཨུ་, Sanskrit Devanagari: उ, Sanskrit Romanization: u, Chinese literal meaning: u), and li (Tibetan: ལྀ, Sanskrit Devanagari: ऌ, Sanskrit Romanization: ḷ, Chinese literal meaning: li). These thirty-six aggregates, etc., representing the nature of the other five wisdoms with the letter vam (Tibetan: ཝཾ།, Sanskrit Devanagari: वं, Sanskrit Romanization: vaṃ, Chinese literal meaning: vam), are the Vajradhara of great bliss, possessing an indestructible nature. Like this, the five great emptinesses that are immutable are the five mandalas of space, earth, water, fire, and wind; the five of space, sun, moon, Rahu, time, and fire; the five aggregates of form, etc.; internally, the five places of the body's center, front, back, right, and left; the four and five of cause, lineage, and state; the five of channels and wheels; the five winds of root and branch; the five limbs of the body; externally, the five of the mandala's center and directional colors; the five walls; the five abisambodhis; the five Tathagatas; the five daytime signs and five nighttime signs distinguished by body mindfulness; and the five fruition wisdoms are all symbolized by this. Second, the explanation of the nature of the six immutable empty dots of the letter e (Tibetan: ཨེ་, Sanskrit Devanagari: ए, Sanskrit Romanization: e, Chinese literal meaning: e). Although these five great emptinesses have no distinction in terms of substance, from the aspect of their unobstructed appearance, the emptiness possessing all perfections, how is it? The first empty dot is the consciousness aggregate from the six aggregates, the space element from the six elements, the ear sense from the six senses, the sound from the six objects, the genitals from the six karmic faculties, and the movement of semen from the actions of the six karmic faculties, all of which are aspects of unobstructed emptiness possessing all perfections. Symbolized by the inexpressible line of the ka (Tibetan: ཀ་, Sanskrit Devanagari: क, Sanskrit Romanization: ka, Chinese literal meaning: ka) group, located above the central curved knife. Similarly, the second empty dot is the formation aggregate, the wind element, the nose sense, the smell object, the speech karmic faculty, and the speech of its action, all of which are unobstructed aspects. Symbolized by the line of the ca (Tibetan: ཙ་, Sanskrit Devanagari: च, Sanskrit Romanization: ca, Chinese literal meaning: ca) group, located east of the eastern wooden staff. The third empty dot is the feeling aggregate, the fire element, the tongue sense, the taste object, the hand karmic faculty, and the taking of its action, all of which are unobstructed aspects. Symbolized by the line of the ṭa (Tibetan: ཊ་, Sanskrit Devanagari: ट, Sanskrit Romanization: ṭa, Chinese literal meaning: ṭa) group, located south of the southern short stick. The fourth empty dot is the perception aggregate, the water element, the eye sense, the form object.
