It is said that Vajradhara can be accomplished in three years and three months, and that is also the meaning of that. The color, qualities, power, function, entry and exit, methods of grasping, faults and merits of those winds should be understood from the profound inner meaning and so on. In short, all of samsara and nirvana are said to be the nature of wind. In summary, there are two types of wind: karma wind and wisdom wind. The first of these, the wind that is inseparable from conceptual thought, has two aspects. The first, which should be abandoned, is: clinging to self from the base of all as the wind of ignorance. The manifestation of wisdom, the five lights, not recognizing it as self-appearance but clinging to it as other and increasing craving is the wind of desire. Relying on that, judging objects with acceptance and rejection and holding on tightly is the wind of hatred. Thus, the nature of the three poisons, due to the power of ignorance, accomplishes samsara. The second, the antidote that cuts off its continuum, such as correct view, contemplating selflessness, etc., is also called karma wind. In short, the so-called karma wind is conceptual thought, because it moves, is subtle, and acts from one place to another. The nature of mind is bliss, clarity, and non-conceptualization, which is the great wisdom wind. When it is self-aware, all the movements of karma wind will subside. Fourth, the explanation of bindu: twelve pure essence bindus, twenty-four impurities. They descend in the manner of absorption and enjoyment of the lord. The meaning of bindu is tilaka, which means transformed into the essence or seed of great bliss. Moreover, the nature of one's own mind, the three kayas, which has been indestructibly abiding from beginningless time, is the root bindu free from elaboration. The white and red minds are stirred by the three winds, and the illusion of grasper and grasped arises, which is the bindu of illusion and ignorance. What is transformed from the four imputed names is the bindu of imputed mantra. As an antidote to other-power, binding the wind is the bindu of wind. The white and red elements together with the method of binding are called the bindu of substance, which was summarized by glorious Rangjung Dorje. In other explanations, there are two types of bindu: conventional designation and ultimate wisdom. Here, what is to be explained is the conventional designation, or the bindu of substance. That is to say, in the places of the channels, there are thirty-six bindus of essence and impurity, which are wind.

Like a treasure controlled by the self-existent, relying on it, the essence of the material bindu, the white aspect, resides at the upper end of the central channel, having the nature of "Hum" (Tibetan: ཧཾ, Sanskrit Devanagari: हं, Sanskrit Roman transliteration: haṃ, literal Chinese meaning: Hum). As the tantra equal to space says, "The indestructible 'Hum' (Tibetan: ཧཾ, Sanskrit Devanagari: हं, Sanskrit Roman transliteration: haṃ, literal Chinese meaning: Hum) is similar in shape, like the color of a Kundaa jewel, white, shining, and with oily luster." The essence of the red aspect resides at the junction of the three channels below the navel, in the form of a short "A" (Tibetan: ཨ, Sanskrit Devanagari: अ, Sanskrit Roman transliteration: a, literal Chinese meaning: A). The Compendium of Origins says, "The very nature of a vulture's fire." These are called "spring" (dpyid) and "bindu" (thig le). The Black Enemy says, "The indestructible 'Hum' (Tibetan: ཧཾ, Sanskrit Devanagari: हं, Sanskrit Roman transliteration: haṃ, literal Chinese meaning: Hum) is the seed, dripping like water, gladdening the hearts of sentient beings, and is called 'spring.' Fire exists in a great form and is called 'sow bindu.' Driven by the wind of karma, it burns in the center of the navel wheel. Having obtained 'spring' and being delighted, one abides in equanimous samadhi. This is the glory and bravery of Heruka, called 'spring bindu.'" Because between the white and red aspects there is the coemergent great life wind, if one were to represent it with an external place, it would be the essence of bodhichitta, the nature of Vajrasana. In short, the white aspect produces bliss, so it is called "spring"; the red aspect stabilizes bliss, so it is called "bindu"; it becomes the place for realizing enlightenment, so it is considered the Vajrasana. Relying on these essences, the corresponding impure elements also have both essence and dregs. The essence increases the body's strength and radiance, while the dregs flow out from the sense organs, etc. These are also the essence of the essence of the fire offering in food, which eventually becomes semen, so it is called the "seventh birth." Although there are very many bindus arising from this, there are mainly twelve essences and twenty-four dregs, totaling thirty-six. Among these, the twelve essences are: five bindus related to the five branch winds, five bindus related to the five root winds, and three bindus relying on the three winds of the moon, sun, and Rahu above, which, because they have the solar property of life, are counted as one solar bindu. The three bindus relying on the three channels of feces, urine, and semen below are the downward-moving
