Now, with certainty, the bliss increases through the life-force exertion at the tips of the upper and lower nostrils on the subtle point. Thus, during all times of learning the generation stage, all mandalas of the appearing side that arise in the mind should be understood as merely appearing in conventionality, without being established in their own essence as emptiness in ultimate reality, and one should learn the samadhi like an illusion. Ultimately, the appearance of the deity and the pride, blessed by the melting bliss, should manifest as the wisdom that is free from all extremes of elaboration of essence without ceasing. If that is not possible, then with the firm certainty of understanding emptiness, one should increase the clarity of appearance with emptiness. In the mother tantra, there is the yoga of subtle winds and the yoga of dropping and reversing bindus. In the father tantra, one should draw melting bliss by combining the life-force exertion of meditating on the yoga of the upper and lower nostrils, and increase the clarity of appearance with bliss. In short, by increasing the bliss and emptiness on the clarity of appearance of the deity's wheel, when the appearance as the deity's form also arises as the path in the essence of bliss and emptiness, by diligently meditating on that, the winds dissolve into the central channel, and joy arises as it transforms into the realization of the completion stage, and there is no need to specifically mix and increase that and the deity's form, but they arise together. When there is no interruption by conceptual thoughts, it is called abiding in one-pointed mindfulness. By meditating on that, when the signs of tangible vision are found, one abides in the yoga of realization. Here, there are many identifications of subtle points, and because there are many ways to meditate on them, etc., I have not elaborated because of the concern for multiplicity, but one should also know these kinds of things in others. The fourth is: When weary of meditation, remember the purity of the deity and the ultimate reality of one's own lineage. Remembering the purification of faults by meditating on the deity is stated in all the treatises of the great accomplished ones. The Precious Garland says: "What is the use of yoga if one cannot meditate? Therefore, remember purity." Like that. There are many establishments of how to remember purity. Among them, the purity of the conventional deity is that the actualizations of the deities are pure in the great qualities of the Buddha, as it says in the Two Examinations: "The eye of compassion is red, the pure eye of the three vajras. The loving heart has limbs." And so on. The purification of the aggregates and elements of the body, etc., as the deity, as it says in the Guhyasamaja: "In the nature of the five aggregates,

As it is said, "The five increases are well explained. The four goddesses, such as the eyes, are the nature of the earth, etc." The purification of the body's channels and elements into deities is like what Lowaipa said: "The twenty-four heroes contemplate the elements of the body." Similarly, the purification of ornaments into mantras is like what he said: "Whatever the root mantras of the heroes, contemplate them as the threads of Brahma, etc." Similarly, the purification of the ultimate reality itself, the purification of suchness, is to know that all phenomena of samsara and nirvana are naturally pure, unborn emptiness. As it says in the Two Contemplations Tantra: "Surely, of all phenomena, purity is said to be suchness." The purification of self-awareness, when related to the Completion Stage, is to know that everything is the manifestation of co-emergent bliss and emptiness. As it says in the Two Contemplations Tantra: "Self-awareness itself is purity. Liberation is not from other purities. Because the objects of the senses are pure, the bliss of one's own awareness is supreme." The purpose of remembering purification is that the lamas consider it to be for the sake of dispelling the notion that the Dharma of the path and the result are different. Fifth, one trains in four sessions, gathering and rising between sessions. The four sessions in which a yogi who engages in the Generation Stage is said to train are, as Jalandharapa said: "The sequence called the blessing in four sessions is dawn, noon, afternoon, and night, which is the sequence of meditation." Gathering in the intervals between sessions is to gather the outer world and the inner beings, including the support and the supported, into oneself. One gradually gathers oneself into clear light and then rises from the clear light as an illusory deity. As Drilbupa said: "The seed, the light, the lord of wisdom, the wheels, the earth, and the stacked houses, having appeared as light, are gradually gathered." Second, the yoga of not being in equipoise is the yoga of recitation, offering torma, eating, engaging in desire, sleeping, rising, and bathing while not in equipoise. The post-meditation or non-equipoise yoga of the Generation Stage has eight aspects. First, the yoga of mantra recitation includes the rosary as the object of recitation, the focus of recitation, the mantra to be recited, and the establishment of the number of recitations. Second, the offering of torma involves the distinction between deities and spirits being different or not different. In the latter case, in the mandala
