Thinking when will I have the ability to benefit others, thinking when will I be able to fulfill the wishes of sentient beings with the great wealth of the world and beyond, thinking when will I become a Buddha, so that I will surely be able to relieve the suffering of sentient beings, for a life that is not beneficial to sentient beings and enjoying the true taste as one, and words that cannot satisfy everyone, a life that is not beneficial to others and possessing body, wisdom, wealth, and power, and being happy to harm others, may I never become like this in all my lifetimes, may the fruit of the sins of sentient beings ripen on me, and may the fruit of my virtues ripen on them, thinking like this in the heart, these are the eight kinds of great man's thoughts. Pure conduct is as stated in the Ornament of the Sutras: When a prince acts, in whatever way, how the consciousness of the senses arises, in that way, with reason and harmonious words, he manifests for the benefit of sentient beings. Know that it is like this, just like the pure conduct mentioned in the Avatamsaka Sutra. When a Bodhisattva enters a room, thinking may all sentient beings attain the city of liberation, and add this sentence. When sleeping, may I attain the body of the Buddha. When dreaming, may I realize all dharmas as dreams. When waking up, may I awaken from ignorance. When getting up, may I attain the form of the Buddha. When dressing, may I put on the clothes of shame and embarrassment. When tying the belt, may the roots of virtue be interconnected. When sitting on the mat, may I attain the Vajra seat. Like this, make aspirations and practice accordingly, thereby taming the mind. Second, regarding the practice of distinction and post-meditation, there are two: the post-meditation of distinction, and the common post-attainment. The first is: the distinction of meditative equipoise, mainly focusing on the meaning of Madhyamaka, and it is the Svatantrika, with investigation as the preliminary, establishing it on the meaning of non-affirming negation like the sky. The Prasangika is the realm of phenomena to be familiarized with, the consciousness to be familiarized with, without distinction, like water pouring into water. The other-empty non-conceptual great luminosity, all are in accordance with the key point of mere freedom from elaboration. The uncommon practice of the distinct Mahayana practitioners is to hear in meditative equipoise.

The main practice is to contemplate the profound meaning of Madhyamaka, which has been ascertained through reasoning. Among them, the Svatantrika school first generates bodhicitta and then engages in the wisdom of analytical discernment. When abiding, even the mind that abides is unified with the essence of emptiness, which is like the unconditioned space that negates all extremes of elaboration, such as the existence or non-existence of the object of abiding. Here, there is no term for union. In the post-meditation state, the appearance aspect is condensed in the aspect of consciousness, and in the aspect of wisdom, one manifestly accumulates the accumulation of merit in a state where nothing is fixated upon. This is also called the union of the two truths. It is also called the accumulation of merit endowed with the wisdom that does not fixate on the three spheres. The Prasangika school first generates bodhicitta and engages in the wisdom of analytical discernment. The mind that abides and the dharmadhatu of the object of abiding are not separate and distinct, but become non-dual, like water poured into water. That which has become like that is named by the wisdom that realizes the dharmadhatu, but in reality, there is no distinction between the knowable and the knower, and there is no term for union. In the post-meditation state, the way of attending to the mind is the same as in the case of the Svatantrika school. The Shentongpas first generate bodhicitta and briefly engage in the analysis of non-inherent existence, and then abide in the spontaneously accomplished great luminosity without conceptualization. That is, they abide in the essence of self-awareness and self-illumination of wisdom, which is empty of the two, the apprehended and the apprehender. And they do not grasp at any signs of elaboration, such as existence or non-existence, affirmation or negation, and do not attend to them. In the post-meditation state, all phenomena of appearance and sound are taken as objects, and one does not grasp at any signs of elaboration. This is called the union of appearance and emptiness. And in that state, one enters into the vast accumulation of merit. When abiding, it is called the union of clarity and emptiness, because it is empty of conceptualization while not moving from the essence of clear awareness. All three of these are in agreement on the point of abiding in the sphere free from elaboration. Second, in the post-meditation state, one cultivates the thirty-seven factors of enlightenment in sequence. This meaning is superior because of its profundity and vastness. An
