Consciousness, as well as repeatedly abandoning the body, repeatedly taking rebirth, repeatedly changing between high and low states, and the fault of having no friends, as stated in the "Letter to a Friend." In summary, there are three points: having no trust in samsara, never being satisfied no matter how much one enjoys its pleasures, and entering into it from beginningless time. The first point has four aspects: having no trust in obtaining a body, which is repeatedly abandoning the body. Having no trust in those who benefit or harm, such as fathers becoming sons, mothers becoming wives, enemies becoming friends, etc., with no certainty. Having no trust in obtaining prosperity, which is falling from high places to low places. Having no trust in companionship, which is going alone. The second point is: when wandering throughout samsara with no visible beginning or end, even if one becomes a lord of gods and humans and enjoys immeasurable sensual pleasures, one is never satisfied, like drinking salt water or scratching an itch, and craving only increases. The third point is: repeatedly taking rebirth, that is, the cycle of births and deaths with no visible end. Regarding other sufferings of humans, the "Collection of Sayings" states: All the sufferings of the lower realms also appear in humans. Tormented by suffering, they are like hell; due to poverty, they are like the realm of Yama, the lord of death; the sufferings of animals among humans are that the powerful oppress the powerless with force, causing harm, like a river. Furthermore, as stated in the "Four Hundred Verses": The most superior have mental suffering, while ordinary people have physical suffering. Suffering alone destroys this world day by day. As it is said. The Asuras (demigods) are mentally tormented by jealousy, unable to bear the prosperity of the gods. Because of this, when they fight with the gods, they experience many sufferings such as having their bodies cut and torn apart. Although they possess wisdom, they are obscured by the obscuration of karmic ripening, and therefore it is said that they cannot see the truth on such a basis. The gods of the desire realm also have the suffering of death and falling, the suffering of strife, and the suffering of being cut, torn, killed, and expelled. The gods of the two higher realms (form and formless realms) do not have the suffering of suffering.

However, due to having afflictions and obscurations, and lacking autonomy over death and rebirth, one suffers from adverse conditions. In short, no matter where one is born in the high or low realms of the three realms, one should contemplate the state of always being immersed in the ocean of the three sufferings: the suffering of suffering, the suffering of change, and the pervasive suffering of conditioned existence, thereby turning away from samsara. The third is turning away from peace, which is to generate altruistic intention through the seven instructions of cause and effect. Through equanimity and delight, pursue Bodhi, generate great love and compassion, and turn away from peace with heightened intention. Thus, by contemplating the faults of samsara, all existence is seen as a pit of fire, and the mind is filled with longing for liberation, the pacification of afflictions and suffering. Therefore, if one practices the three trainings, one will attain liberation from samsara. Although this is not like the glory of the heavens that will revert, since it is only one aspect of eliminating faults and attaining qualities, self-benefit is not complete. Because of this, benefiting others is also limited, and eventually one must be urged by the Buddha to enter the Mahayana. The only gateway to this is the mind of enlightenment (Bodhicitta). When that arises in the mind-stream

Just as giving birth to various children becomes a common cause. Nagarjuna also said, "Buddhas, Pratyekabuddhas, and Shravakas all rely on you. You are the only path to liberation. It is certain that there is no other." Thus praising the Prajnaparamita. Shravakas and Pratyekabuddhas also rely on it. Therefore, Prajnaparamita is also called "Mother." Because it is the mother of the sons of both the Great and Small Vehicles, it is not through the wisdom of realizing emptiness that the Great and Small Vehicles are distinguished, but through the mind of enlightenment and vast conduct. Therefore, one must first cultivate the mind of enlightenment. Regarding its oral instructions, there are two lineages transmitted from Jowoje (Atisha). From the disciple of Sharawa, Tumton Lodro Drak, there are five sequential causes and effects: To attain Buddhahood, the cause of Buddhahood requires the mind of enlightenment, the cause of that requires compassion, the cause of that requires loving-kindness, the cause of that requires knowing and repaying kindness, and the cause of that requires seeing all sentient beings as parents. All sentient beings are parents, and their kindness is immense. How wonderful it would be if they were free from suffering and happy! To place them in happiness, I will attain Buddhahood. After attaining Buddhahood, I will also place all sentient beings on the level of Buddhahood. One should think like this. Also, from the disciple of Jawulwa, Tsangpa Rinpoche, it is said that one should train the mind through the seven-cause-and-effect oral instructions. According to that, the Buddha to be attained is not without cause or condition, but arises from the cause of the mind of enlightenment. That arises from superior pure intention. That arises from great compassion. That arises from great loving-kindness. That arises from agreeableness. That arises from knowing and repaying kindness. That arises from cultivating the perception of mother. It is said. This is also to generate the mind of benefiting others, first one must cultivate equanimity, free from attachment and aversion towards sentient beings. First, towards the neutral who has neither helped nor harmed, then friends, then harmful enemies, then cultivate equanimity towards all sentient beings. This is also from the perspective of sentient beings, all sentient beings want happiness and do not want suffering, this is the same.
