The internal earth, water, fire, wind, space, and consciousness, are produced from the aggregation of the six elements, therefore it is called arising from conditions. Among them, one life, two lives, and three lives are continuous, and the completion in an instant, etc., the views of the Mahayana and Hinayana are different, which have been briefly mentioned above. These are called the dependent origination of the cycle of existence arising in order. The third is: Who sees the dependent origination of reversal and cessation? In order to touch the essence of the Buddha's words, one should understand its meaning through diligent contemplation. The dependent origination of reversal and cessation has two aspects: the path and the fruit. First, the path: the root of the twelve links of dependent origination of the cycle of existence flowing in the forward direction is ignorance, so it is reversed by the wisdom of awareness. By familiarizing oneself with the stream of wisdom of hearing, thinking, and meditating, one can reverse the root of ignorance. Because ignorance is reversed, the other branches that depend on it are also reversed in sequence, and the cause of entering existence is exhausted, so one will transcend the place of samsara. As it is said in the *Friendly Letter*: "When birth ceases, all these cease." Furthermore, yogis who desire liberation, because they have not accumulated the causes of action that accomplish samsara from the root, therefore the fruit will not be born in samsara later, because action has ceased. As it is said: "The root of samsara is action, therefore the wise do not accumulate action." The fruit is dependent origination, appearing from the Buddha to benefiting sentient beings, like a dream or illusion. Thus, whoever sees that all phenomena are merely dependent origination will not cling to self and other, existence and non-existence, and will not discriminate the limits of the three times. Because they do not incline to the false views of self-proclaimed ascetics and brahmins, they uproot the clinging to the aggregates of fear from the root, and will transform into the nature of non-birth and non-cessation, then they can touch the essence of all the aggregates of the Buddha's teachings, and because they understand the truth, they will touch the state of omniscient wisdom. As it is said in the *Root Wisdom*: "Whoever sees dependent origination also sees suffering, origin, cessation, and the path." Therefore, the two truths and dependent origination

Since it is necessary to contemplate carefully the ways in which things arise, not merely remaining at the level of hearing, but to understand their meaning well, here, according to the intent of the Sālu Green Tree Sutra, the meaning of dependent origination is mentioned again briefly. This is the second chapter commentary on the three turnings of the wheel, the definitive and non-definitive, and the two truths of dependent origination. The third chapter, on the correct determination of view, has seven aspects: the reason for needing a pure view, the way to generate wisdom that realizes selflessness, the sutra outline of the four seals as preliminaries, entering the path of abandoning the two extremes, the main discussion of the two selflessnesses, differentiating the special features of the tantric view, and summarizing into the view of unborn union. The first aspect is: For seeking the deathless state of nirvāṇa, the antidote to abandoning the root of obscuration, ignorance, is wisdom itself. If there is no wisdom, it will not arise, and with that, the view will be purified. Through skillful practice, the conduct will become pure, and the union of view and practice will lead to swift liberation. Seeking the deathless state of peaceful nirvāṇa is what those who desire liberation seek. To realize this, one must abandon the seeds or roots of obscuration, which involve engaging and disengaging based on existence and non-existence. The antidote to abandoning the delusion of ignorance is wisdom. If there is no wisdom, it will not arise. What is that? It is the wisdom that realizes selflessness. Through that wisdom, the view becomes pure, and one will gain supreme intelligence in the definitive meaning. To realize that, one must recognize the need to practice the aspects of skillful means in every way. By practicing diligently, the conduct becomes pure, and supreme intelligence arises in the meaning of uprightness. Thus, the pure view and practice are not separated but are interconnected, and therefore one quickly touches the bliss of liberation. In particular, all the Dharma spoken by the Victorious Ones inclines and flows into the realm of Dharma. Therefore, one must first establish the view. Knowing the faults of wrong views, one abandons them. Seeking and adopting the definitive meaning of the correct view. Among these two, view and practice, what is particularly important is that all the definitive and non-definitive collections of Dharma spoken by the Victorious Ones incline and flow into the realm of Dharma. Therefore, one seeks the correct view that accords with it with the eye of wisdom.
