That is, forms, sounds, etc., to which there is manifest clinging. These are because the noble ones who have seen the Dharma understand them as illusory, accumulated and loose, and without essence. Or it is also said that they can be divided into two types: worldly conventional truth and yogic conventional truth. As Shantideva said, "Yogic conventional truth is faultless." And as Chandrakirti said, "How can that which is non-existent by the sevenfold analysis be said to exist conventionally? Yogis do not find its existence." And so on. The basis of the name is that the gross phenomena that appear as errors without investigation or analysis are worldly conventional truths. The subtle impermanence that is found by the conceptual mind that has been slightly analyzed, and the appearances of the post-attainment of the noble ones from the non-learners of the hearers and solitary realizers up to the bodhisattva noble ones, are the conventional truths of the yogis. The classifications of names are that the former is called the unexamined, childish, and unrelated to reason conventional truth, and the latter is called the examined, related to the noble reason, and Madhyamaka conventional truth. The mistaken and correct conventional truths mentioned here are also established as the two truths of the worldlings themselves. For the ultimate truth, there is no distinction in terms of essence, because it is universally of one taste like space, and because it transcends the object of expression. As it is said in the Ratnakuta Sutra, "Monks, this ultimate truth is one, that is, the undeceptive Dharma-nature of Nirvana." And so on. If we divide it only in terms of verbal expression, then two types of ultimate truth are taught: differentiated and undifferentiated, which are divided from the lesser truth. The former is that which is free from only some elaborations, such as the unborn which prevents birth. The latter is that which is free from all elaborations. That differentiated ultimate truth, from the point of view of what is to be negated, is divided into two: the selflessness of persons and the selflessness of phenomena. From the point of view of characteristics, it is divided into emptiness, signlessness, and wishlessness, which are the three doors of liberation, or the four: manifestation, aggregation, non-action. From the point of view of the object of Dharma, it is divided into the sixteen emptinesses, and so on, including the eighteen and twenty emptinesses. Second, the reason for the distinction is: the difference in the way the noble and childish minds grasp, and relying on dependence and establishment.

The reason for dividing the truth into two is also because the two individuals, noble ones and ordinary beings, have different ways of grasping with their minds. Therefore, the two truths are distinguished from the perspective of the object-possessor, but in reality, they do not exist as two. If the conventional truth existed in the ultimate meaning, it would not become the conventional truth. Otherwise, there would be two ultimate truths. Therefore, there is nothing that is called the ultimate because it does not exist in the conventional meaning, but because the establishment of the clinging to reality is established in dependence on each other. Therefore, the meaning of being free from extremes is the ultimate truth, and the other is the conventional truth. This is just the verbal expression of those who are attached to appearances, but for the Madhyamaka Svātantrika, neither the conventional nor the ultimate can be established. Because if one does not realize the meaning that is beyond expression, one is not a Madhyamika, because one has not realized the meaning of Madhyamaka. Third, the determination of number: the truth is determined as two. This means that the truth is definitely two, conventional truth and ultimate truth. The Laṅkāvatāra Sūtra says: "Conventional and ultimate, there is no third born from causes. Conventional is measured by discrimination, that cessation is the realm of the noble." The Meeting of Father and Son Sūtra says: "Thus, the Tathāgata has understood the two, conventional and ultimate. What is to be known is exhausted in these conventional and ultimate truths." Logically, taking and abandoning, with method as the main aspect, cannot be without the conventional, and the main object to be taken, pure and without signs,
