Venerable, Drakpa, Omniscient Longchen, and so forth, Their individual aspects unmixed, all prohibitions and necessities complete. The essence transforms, with superior qualities ascending, By the key point, they do not contradict, and are practiced primarily according to the occasion, thus it is taught. The Sakya (Sakya) Jetsun Drakpa Gyaltsen (Sakya Jetsun Drakpa Gyaltsen) uncle and nephew, Kunkhyen Longchen Rabjam (Kunkhyen Longchen Rabjam), and among others, Lochen Rinchen Zangpo (Lochen Rinchen Zangpo), Rongzom Chosang (Rongzom Chosang) and their followers, due to their different circumstances in taking the three vows, their individual characteristics are not mixed. The object to be eliminated, the intrinsic defilements, are abandoned, and the necessity, not to be bound by defilements, shares a single key point, thus all prohibitions and necessities are complete. Taking the example of copper ore transforming into copper, and then, through the alchemist's art, transforming into gold, if the pratimoksha vows are held by the Bodhicitta of the Mahayana, they become the Bodhisattva vows; and if they are further held by special skillful means and wisdom, they transform into the Tantric vows, hence their essence transforms. By practicing the higher vows, the prohibitions and necessities of the lower vows are completed in an upward manner, thus the qualities are enhanced. Although some observances of vows seem to contradict each other, they do not contradict based on the key points of view and skillful conduct. Furthermore, it is stated that they should be primarily utilized according to the occasion. Panchen Pema Wangyal said: Amidst the realm of sin and unwholesome gatherings, If one desires to primarily practice the lower vehicle, one must be secluded (from impurities). At the time of practice and in seclusion, one should practice secret mantra. If they do not reconcile, guard them completely unmixed; If they do reconcile, scholars hold that one should consider the prohibitions and necessities. Thus, he spoke. The Gelugpa practitioners have different foundations. Each has many scriptural and logical proofs. The Gelug (Gelugpa) tradition's vows are distinct in their methods of attainment and abandonment, thus the three vows are maintained differently. As an example of a lower vow becoming a branch of a higher vow: just as if one puts a precious gem like an Indranila (sapphire) into a very clear vessel filled with pure water, the water's color will also change to the color of the gem, this illustrates that the higher vows are also essentially dependent on the lower vows. These respective traditions have put forth numerous scriptural and logical proofs. Chapter 3: [Concluding by stating the benefits of observance], namely: If one possessing the three is a diligent supreme Vajradhara, Then with a single body in this lifetime, one will achieve Vajradhara.

Ur! Sumden Dorje Dzinpa (the three-fold Vajradhara) is referred to by the principal term. This is the supreme among tantric practitioners, or anyone who has entered the door of tantra, if their samaya (vows) are unspoiled and they possess diligence on the path, then in one lifetime and one body, they will attain the state of Vajradhara. This has been stated repeatedly in the tantric collections. Lord Rangjung Zhap also said: If unspoiled, in but one life, Vajrasattva is attained; All common accomplishments, Are achieved by mere unhindered thought. Thus he spoke. Even if one cannot exert diligence on the path, if the samaya is unspoiled, accomplishments will be attained without long delay: As stated in the Tantras: If one abides in the samaya vows, And by karmic power, is not accomplished in this life, Accomplishments will be attained in another birth. Thus it is said. This is the section concerning the general explanation of the Vidyadhara vows. This is the commentary on the fourth section concerning the general explanation of the Vidyadhara vows. From 'The Treasury of Precious Scriptures: A Treatise on the Excellent Explanation of the Three Trainings, The All-Pervading Knowledge,' which is compiled from all gates of the Yanas, this is the sequential division of the training in higher discipline, thus completing the commentary on the fifth Abode. --- Sixth Abode: Chapter on the Sequence of Hearing (Learning). First: Section on the Establishment of Common Sciences and the Mundane Path. Thus, for a person who firmly abides in the higher discipline, which is the foundation of all virtuous dharmas, in order to correctly know the path to liberation and omniscience, it is necessary to seek the wisdom of hearing from the ocean-like realms of knowledge (102b). Therefore: [G6] Its sequential division, the Sixth Abode, has four sections: [Ng1] Establishment of Common Sciences and the Mundane Path, [Ng2] Establishment of the General Key Points of Knowledge in the Great and Small Vehicles, [Ng3] Establishment of the Causal Vehicle (Paramitayana), [Ng4] Establishment of the Secret Mantra Vajrayana. [Ng1] The first section has three parts: [C1] Connection relating to the purpose, [C2] Explanation of the three ways of seeking hearing, [C3] Entering the main text. [C1] The first is: As extensive hearing is the basis of all qualities, First, one should seek hearing without partiality. The basis, the support, discipline", "comment": "The last line of the original Tibetan text, 'གཞི་རྟེན་ཚུལ་ཁྲི', appears to be an incomplete stanza or a sentence fragment. It has been translated directly as '基础所依戒' (Chinese) and 'The basis, the support, discipline' (English) based on the visible words. It likely refers to 'གཞི་རྟེན་ཚུལ་ཁྲིམས་' (the basis of morality/discipline).
