Through (this) extensive (practice), virtues are spontaneously accomplished without seeking; the great deities, lords of the world, and their retinues of mothers and dakinis, consider this a sacred place of reverence, thus its power and blessings are exceptionally supreme; Buddhas and Bodhisattvas regard this as a close son and sibling, thus compassionate blessings swiftly arise; it is in harmony with the Tathagata's sphere of activity, thus the sphere of activity is exceptionally supreme; by integrating all phenomena into Samantabhadra's realm, all fears and anxieties are eliminated; all vows, as numerous as those expounded in the guiding and definitive meanings, are spontaneously integrated into the nature, and even if violated, there are means to restore them. Thus, with immeasurable virtues such as these seven types, it is exceptionally supreme. And so on, it extensively appears. \t\t\tT2 The second part [The system of Anuyoga] is: \t\t\tThe general samayas (vows) of Anu (Anuyoga) are of nine types. \t\t\tIn brief, they are explained as two samayas: boundless Dharmata (nature of phenomena) and existing compassion. \t\t\tIn the General Sutra, Chapter Sixty-Six, regarding the general samayas of Anuyoga, it is stated in nine \t\t\tThe first (samaya) is: one must completely purify body, speech, mind, and the sphere of activity. \t\t\tThe second (samaya) is: the root (samayas) are the three Vajra Samayas of body, speech, and mind; the branches (include) five practices to be performed, five to be accepted, five not to be abandoned, five to be known, and five to be accomplished, which are the same as explained above. \t\t\tThe third (samaya) is: ultimately, the essence of the samaya is free from transgression and defilement, thus it is boundless; its form transcends subject and object, thus it is pervasive and boundless; these (samayas) converge into the single sphere of mind-nature; if one does not deviate from the inconceivable state of Dharmata, then all vows and samayas are naturally pure and spontaneously accomplished, this is the supreme samaya of realizing the true nature. \t\t\tThe fourth (samaya) is: in Chapter Sixty-Four, it is illustrated with examples such as the fox (Wa) and the excellent horse (Jangshey Giling).

According to the interpretations by Don Nubchenpo and others, Just as a fox, if caught, disregards its life, cuts off its paw, and escapes, so too does a yogi, even when facing a threat to life, uphold their samaya. This is the method of subduing opposing forces and engaging in the power of samaya. Just as a divine horse (Jangshe) knows all and swiftly encircles all lands in an instant, so too is the conduct (brtul zhugs) of wisdom (prajna) to comprehend all general and specific characteristics of all knowable things without hindrance. Just as a great mythical beast (Gyi Ling) with immense power can transform into anything, so too is the conduct (brtul zhugs) of diligently engaging in dance, mudras, and chakras with respectful bodily actions, thereby subduing laziness. Just as a mighty elephant, intoxicated by alcohol, does not distinguish friend from foe but crushes whatever appears, so too is the conduct of knowing samsara and nirvana as non-dual, thereby conquering the four enemies of view and conduct. Just as a brave, fierce tiger, with its devouring mind, is agitated with ferocity, so too is the conduct (brtul zhugs) of the heroic samadhi that realizes the ultimate nature, endowed with power. And the conduct (brtul zhugs) of practice liberates the ten bhumis, resembling the ferocious agitation of a devouring force, suitable for the sentient beings to be tamed. This is a conduct like liberating Rudra and transferring its consciousness. Just as the great Garuda (Khyungchen), soaring in the sky, effortlessly cuts through the expanse of heaven and illuminates everything without looking, so too is the conduct of realizing the non-duality of dharmadhatu and wisdom through view, thereby engaging in effortless conduct. Just as a bear, wherever it aims, fearlessly attacks and tears apart, so too is the conduct (brtul zhugs) of a yogi, endowed with confidence in view and conduct, fearlessly engaging in manifest actions. Just as gold at the bottom of the ocean remains unchanging, so too is the conduct (brtul zhugs) of being able to conceal profound meaning and steadfastly engage in practice without turning back. Just as an ignorant, deluded person cannot distinguish between what to accept and what to reject, so too is the conduct (brtul zhugs) of the perfection of wisdom that realizes selflessness, achieved through an equipoise that does not differentiate between samsara, nirvana, and so forth. Just as Mount Meru (Rirab) is unmoving, so too is the conduct (brtul zhugs) of skillful means (thabs) which relies on the antidote of unwavering faith and respect for the Guru and companions, and the samadhi (ting nge 'dzin) that is unmoving by mental sinking and excitement (bying rgod). Just as the vast and expansive sky accommodates everything without acceptance or rejection, so too does a yogi have great magnanimity among fellow practitioners, and within this great being's view and conduct, samsara and nirvana, and the vehicles (yānas)...
