The five general and individual samayas, the fourteen root downfalls, and the eight branch precepts are to be observed. What is obtained through the samaya of the secret empowerment is the samaya of consumption, which is the enjoyment of the five meats and five nectars. What is obtained through the samaya of the wisdom empowerment is the samaya of conduct, which includes specific samayas such as killing living beings. What is obtained through the samaya of the fourth empowerment is the samaya of non-separation, which is not abandoning the attire of Heruka and the wisdom consort (Prajna-ma). In this way, all the vows related to the four samayas and four empowerments are subsumed under the classifications asserted by the Omniscient Mipham Gyatso, which are here briefly mentioned. The root downfalls are to be guarded against; the six classes are to be accomplished. Related to practice, one partakes of the implements. In both meditation and post-meditation, (these are) summarized by Pema Karpo. The root downfalls, fourteen in number, along with their branches, are to be guarded against; the common and uncommon samayas of the six classes, related to actual practice, are to be accomplished. Within these, there are further subdivisions: the samaya of implements, such as painted statues, scriptures, mudras, etc.; the samaya of enjoyment, such as the five meats, five nectars, five drinks, five wisdom consorts, etc.; the samaya of meditative equipoise (89b), the four contemplations thus taught; the samaya of post-meditation conduct, such as the twenty-five vows (practices) and the fourteen (vows) of the tent mandala, etc. In this way, the varieties of samaya are summarized into three by the Omniscient Pema Karpo. Rangjung Gyalwa stated that they are summarized into four. The Omniscient Rangjung Gyalwa, in "Ocean of Samaya," stated: Outer and inner Three Jewels, bodhicitta, Objects and subject, outer and inner conditions, Subjugation and protection, these two activities, All samayas are encompassed herein. This means not abandoning the Three Jewels, outer and inner conventional and ultimate bodhicitta; not doubting the purity of objects and subjects; relying on outer and inner conducive conditions; and the activities of subjugation and protection not transgressing their time. Through these, all samayas are encompassed. Thus, they are summarized into four categories. In brief, they are condensed into two All the samayas explained above, in summary, are condensed into two The former refers to the root downfalls, branch precepts, and practices, etc. p

Next are the precepts of the five families and the samayas of the higher empowerments, and so forth. The Vajra Tent Tantra teaches six ascetic practices for attaining warmth. The six kinds of ascetic practices for individuals whose samadhi is stable and who have attained the wisdom of warmth are taught in the Vajra Tent Tantra: Completely abandon the binding of mudras, And do not construct stupas, Do not prostrate to the Three Supreme Vajras, Body activities such as mandalas, Even in dreams, should not be done. Only prostrate to one's guru and vajra siblings, Do not prostrate to other acharyas. Thus it is said: one should abandon binding external mudras, making tsa-tsas, prostrating to the forms of the Three Vajras, drawing mandalas, and other such physical activities. One should only prostrate to one's own guru and lineage gurus, and should not prostrate to other acharyas. When wisdom reaches its limit, one transcends all acceptance and rejection. For an individual who has attained great stability and whose wisdom has reached its limit, all dualistic appearances such as precepts and non-precepts, things to be adopted and things to be abandoned, things to be practiced and things not to be practiced, are transcended, and the great samaya of protection is spontaneously accomplished. Third, an explanation of the measure of transgression and its remedy, which has two parts: 1. The measure of downfalls; 2. The remedy. 1. First: Motivated by afflictions, knowing it, firm and without interruption, Undistorted, without regret, exceeding the limit is a defeat. Lacking complete factors is a grave offense, and so on. If the seven factors are complete for the root downfalls, it becomes an actual defeat. The seven factors are: being motivated by afflictive intention; knowing it to be what it is; the physical and verbal actions that generate the fault being firm; "without interruption" means having engaged in the actual ground of each downfall; without regret and rejoicing; the mind being undisturbed; and if the guru is present, not confessing within one or three years constitutes exceeding the limit. If these seven are complete, it is a defeat. If it does not exceed the limit, but six factors are complete, it is called a downfall, similar to a remaining fault in Pratimoksha. If other factors are absent, the actual ground is a grave offense (sbom po). If it is less than that, it is a downfall (ltung byed). If other factors are absent, a single physical or verbal action is similar to a wrong action (nyes byas), and an actual ground performed due to loss of mindfulness is also a wrong action.
