The samaya of the Vajra Speech, which prevents degeneration and delights the ears; this is proclaimed unanimously in many tantras such as the Vajra Heart Ornament. Furthermore, in the Root Tantra of Chakrasamvara, eight special samayas are taught: the Karma Mudra of desire-conduct, the Jnana Mudra of form-conduct, the Mahamudra which is the cause for attaining the fruition of Buddhahood, and the unwavering Bodhicitta, which is the cause of accomplishments, this is the first. By the attachment of wisdom, generating the sixteen joys in sequence at the throat, heart, navel, and secret places, this is called maintaining the samaya, the second. Not abandoning the kula consort, and not engaging with a messenger consort of another kula merely out of desire for external accomplishments, the third. At the four places, the samayas of the four bindus are perfectly completed with innate joy and emptiness inseparably, achieving non-duality at the very end, this is the fourth. The nature of the sixteen joys, not being diminished by the conditions of leaking bliss, being unobstructed and not falling into the dark side, this is the fifth. The conduct of Samantabhadra's paramita, always acting with a blissful mind for the diverse benefit of sentient beings, this is properly guarding the conduct of non-human consorts, the sixth. Constantly abiding in unshakeable discipline, this is the face of vajra brahmacarya, the seventh. The bindus arisen at the tip of the secret, generating upward-fixed, reversed joy, drawn to the ultimate crown and stabilized, this is called the all-pervasive conduct of the channels (89v), the eighth. Similarly, in the upper commentary it is said: Thus, whoever definitely maintains these eight samayas at all times, they will swiftly attain the accomplishment of Mahamudra. Thus, the benefits are extensively taught. Furthermore, although there are many subtle distinctions individually taught in the various tantras, they are mainly subsumed within what has been explained before. 2. Second, presenting other ways of classification and subsumption, namely: The four samayas of guarding, enjoying, and not separating. It is held by Akshobhya's joy to be related to the four empowerments. All unsurpassable samayas are subsumed within the samayas of the four empowerments; Among these, what is obtained by the vow of the vase empowerment is the samaya of guarding, namely: family (kula)
