All that is taught in the tantras primarily concurs with this. The actual text (73b) has three parts: the general samaya of Kriya Tantra; the specific samaya of each family; and the method of restoration if they are transgressed. First: The fourteen general samayas of Kriya Tantra are: Faith in the Three Jewels, mantras, and admiration for the Great Vehicle, Respect for supreme fields, not to be hateful, and timely offerings. Not revering other doctrines, offering to guests, and firm loving-kindness. Accumulating merit, recitation, diligently guarding other samayas, Not giving mantras or mudras to those without samaya, and understanding the tantras. The fourteen secret samayas of Kriya Tantra, as taught in the General Tantra, are: 1. Having faith in the common and uncommon Three Jewels. 2. Having faith in the collection of secret mantras, vidya mantras, and dharani mantras without distinguishing good from bad, but with exclusive devotion. 3. Particularly admiring the Mahayana and practicing its precepts. 4. Reverence for the supreme field, which consists of four friends: the guru, those who have entered Kriya Tantra, its samaya, and those who have entered the doctrine. 5. Not to be hateful towards one's chosen deity, even if the fierce practices and joint accomplishments of common accomplishment deities have not been achieved. 6. Not to neglect making offerings on auspicious occasions such as the eighth, fifteenth, and thirtieth days of the lunar month. 7. Not to revere the doctrines of other teachers, such as Tirthikas (non-Buddhist ascetics). 8. Offering food and drink to unexpected guests. 9. Maintaining a firm mind of loving-kindness towards all living beings. 10. Accumulating and increasing merits. 11. Diligently engaging in recitation with appropriate acceptance and rejection as explained in *Dpung bzang* (Good Arm). 12. Diligently guarding other samayas taught in general for all families, not just one's own. 13. Not to give mantras and mudras to those who have no samaya or whose samaya is broken. 14. The tantras should also be kept secret and protected, and one should realize them through one's own listening, contemplation, and meditation. Additionally, the thirty points taught in *Legs Grub* (Excellent Accomplishment) (74a) are summarized as follows: Admiration for the Three Jewels, mantras, and the Great Vehicle, Timely offerings to deities, and spontaneous offerings to guests. Accumulate merit, diligently recite according to the method, Maintain firm general and specific family samayas. Guard tantras, realize, and pacify the three doors. Bathing and cleanliness, twelve directions for accomplishment. Do not be hateful to deities, do not worship other doctrines, Do not take what is not given, secret mantras are not self-made.

Do not perform the deeds of obstructors, do not twist others' affairs. Do not give to those without samaya, do not despise mudras and the like. Do not eat food that is not consecrated or not permitted. Do not abandon loving-kindness, do not speak with uncertainty. Do not act violently out of anger, do not disdain oneself. Do not find fault with others, abandon unwholesome places. Do not watch spectacles, do not discard feces and urine into water. These eighteen are spoken through the gate of prohibition. Thus. 2. [The Samaya of Each Lineage]: The samaya of each respective lineage should be practiced according to the tantras. Regarding the three transcendent lineages (Buddha, Padma, Vajra families) and the three worldly lineages (Deva, Naga, Yaksha families, etc.), all the numerous specific points of acceptance and rejection taught for each should also be practiced according to what is taught in the tantras and realizations of one's own lineage, based upon the general samaya. These samayas are not only to be observed by those who have received Kriya Tantra empowerments, but also by those who have entered Anuttarayoga Tantra, as explained in the commentary "Precious Lamp" on Dgra Nag. 3. [Method of Restoration After Transgression]: If a transgression occurs, one should recite the "Hundred Thousand Self-Awareness" or the "Mantra of Obscuring by Fire," And restore through peaceful fire offerings, etc. One should first know the samayas and strive not to be stained by downfalls. If a transgression occurs, it should be restored immediately. The method of restoration is to recite one's own Vidyā Heart Mantra (Rang Rig 'Bum) one hundred thousand times, or to recite the obscuring mantra, specifically, the "Invincible Vajrapani Mantra that Profoundly Obscures like Fire" (74b) one thousand times, or to perform peaceful fire offerings of that number, etc., repeatedly re-entering the mandala from among these, as taught in the General Tantras. Regarding the timing, "Legs Grub" (Accomplished Goodness) states: Whatever heedless deeds are done during the day, Should be confessed one by one at night. Whatever is done at night should also be confessed the next morning. According to this, transgressions occurring during the day should be confessed at night, and those occurring at night should be confessed the next morning, in order to be purified. 2. Explanation of the Samaya of Carya Tantra: Carya Tantra (samaya): (includes) the ten non-virtuous actions, and (transgressing) the holy Dharma, Abandoning bodhicitta, stinginess, harming beings. These fourteen are to be abandoned, restore…
