九种不如法的坐姿: 未经居士等邀请而坐, 未察看座垫上是否有生命, 身体重心倾斜,双腿交叉并伸展, 大腿与脚踝相互叠放, 双腿屈于座下,双腿大开伸展, 当依教示所指,舍弃这九种过失而坐。 附带教诲:勿以手托腮, 勿背负坐垫行走。 第四,八种受食之法: 受食勿高于钵缘, 米饭蔬菜多少应平等受取, 依次而取,无先后次序, 受食时勿散漫,双眼当注视钵中, 食物未至,勿推辞钵, 勿因贪求蔬菜而以米饭覆盖, 勿因贪求米饭而以蔬菜覆盖, 勿在饮食上推辞其他器皿。 第五,二十一种食法: 勿以不如法的行仪进食, 食团大小勿过大或过小, 当合世俗,适中而食。 食物未达口前勿张口, 口中含食勿语。 食不美味勿发“咂咂”声,美味勿发“嘎嘎”声, 食凉勿发“呼呼”声,食热勿发“噗噗”声, 勿将舌头伸出唇外而食, 勿如米粒等一粒粒挑拣, 勿呵斥食物,勿左右移动口中食物。 勿发颚音,(37b) 勿以牙齿咬断残食, 勿以舌舔沾染器皿的手, 勿甩掉手上沾染的食物, 勿摇晃盛有食物的钵, 舍弃以食物塑成佛塔形状而食者。 第六,十四种用钵之法: 勿轻蔑其他比丘之钵, 勿以沾有食物之手触碰水器, 勿将沾有食物之水泼向他人, 勿将带有食物的洗钵水倒入其他居室, 勿将食物残渣倒入钵中, 无钵架时,勿将钵置于裸露的地上, 勿置于悬崖、垃圾堆、四种陡峭的守护者处, 勿置于垃圾、悬崖、三种守护者处, 勿站立洗钵,勿在流水中。

Nine improper ways of sitting: Do not sit without having been invited by the householder, etc., Do not sit without checking if there are living beings on the cushion, Do not throw the body's weight, crossing and stretching the legs, Do not stack thighs and ankles, Do not bend legs under the seat or spread legs wide open, When sitting, one should abandon these nine faults as instructed. An additional instruction: do not rest your cheek with your hand, Do not carry the sitting cushion on your back and walk. Fourth, eight rules for receiving food: Do not take food higher than the rim of the alms bowl, Take equal amounts of rice and vegetables, Take food in order, without precedence or sequence, When taking food, do not be distracted, look at the alms bowl with your eyes, Do not refuse the alms bowl before food is given, Do not cover rice with vegetables out of desire for vegetables, Do not cover vegetables with rice out of desire for rice, Do not refuse other vessels on top of the food. Fifth, twenty-one rules for consuming food: Do not eat with improper demeanor, Do not have mouthfuls that are too large or too small, Eat appropriately, in accordance with worldly custom. Do not open your mouth before food reaches it, Do not speak with your mouth full of food. Do not make a 'tsug-tsug' sound for tasteless food, or a 'chak-chak' sound for tasty food, Do not make a 'hu-hu' sound for cold food, or a 'phu-phu' sound for hot food, Do not stick out your tongue outside your mouth to eat, Do not pick out grains one by one like rice, etc., Do not disparage food, do not move food from left to right cheek. Do not make a clicking sound with the palate, (37b) do not cut leftovers with your teeth, Do not lick hands soiled by the vessel with your tongue, Do not shake off food soiled on your hands, Do not make the alms bowl with food sway, Abandon those who eat by shaping food into a stupa. Sixth, fourteen rules for using the alms bowl: Do not mock other monks' alms bowls, Do not touch water vessels with food-soiled hands, Do not sprinkle water with food onto others, Do not pour washing water with food into another house, Do not pour food leftovers into the alms bowl, Without an alms bowl stand, do not place it on bare ground, Do not place it on dangerous cliffs, garbage heaps, or the four kinds of steep slopes protected by guardians, Do not place it on garbage, cliffs, or the three kinds of guardians, Do not wash the alms bowl while standing, or in flowing water.
