Also, having entered into the unborn, peace devoid of all elaborations, all noble fathers and sons diligently taught non-grasping at objects. Second, the Middle Way Path: the Union of Method and Wisdom. Directly realizing the union of method and wisdom, The acquired wisdom, its basis and other distinctions, Gradually traversing the ten bhumis. This means that the Master Candrakīrti explained by conjoining the aspect of method taught in the Daśabhūmika Sūtra with the aspect of wisdom taught in the Mūlamadhyamakakārikā, as a union. The manner of their conjunction is also explained by progressively conjoining the ten bhumis and the ten pāramitās; the ultimate nature is wisdom that directly realizes the dharmatā (reality) free from all elaborations. (274b) The manner of realizing dharmatā is that the wisdom of the ārya (noble ones), not perceiving the nature of phenomena as anything, makes the designation of realizing dharmatā. Not seeing it is seeing it, As taught in the Sūtra of Profound Meaning. Just as it is taught. That wisdom, in terms of its acquired aspect, is slightly differentiated based on distinctions such as becoming the basis of virtues like generosity; however, in the intrinsic nature of that wisdom itself, there is no differentiation, because wisdom and dharmatā are inseparable, and the intrinsic nature of dharmatā is without differentiation. Third, the Result Middle Way: the Union of the Two Bodies. Proclaiming the union of the two bodies. This means that, without separating the real and the imputed, regarding the Dharmakāya and the Rūpakāya, the definition of the former is the realm like space, where the two obscurations together with their latent tendencies have been completely abandoned, which is called the Dharmakāya. From the Mādhyamakāvatāra: All dry firewood of the knowable, Burned to tranquility, is the Dharmakāya of the Victors, At that time there is no birth and no cessation, The cessation of mind, that body directly realizes. Just as it is taught. Then, if one asks whether wisdom exists on the Buddha-bhūmi (stage of Buddhahood) according to this system, Regarding this, the Venerable Drakpa (Jetsün Drakpa) states that the assertion that there is no wisdom on the Buddha-bhūmi according to the system of Master Candrakīrti is that both the Master and the Buddha...

“It is to cast aspersion,” it was said. The Dharma Lord Sakya Pandita stated: In ultimate truth, the Buddha-ground transcends existence and non-existence. Conventionally, if that wisdom is considered mind and mental factors, then it does not exist on the Buddha-ground, because for the Buddhas, delusion has ceased. (275a) So it was said. Revered Mikyod Zhabs and Zilun Panchen, among others, held that in ultimate truth, the wisdom on the Buddha-ground transcends existence and non-existence; but conventionally, wisdom is asserted to exist. This is based on the statement: “O wise one, you know all knowable things in a single instant.” If, then, the identification of the Buddha is made with the Dharma-nature, like space, would the Buddha then not benefit others? This is not the case. Due to the Buddha’s former aspirations and the merit of beings to be tamed, benefits for others continuously arise from the two Rupakayas (form bodies). For example, just as the wish-fulfilling jewel and the wish-granting tree, though they have no conceptualization, can fulfill wishes when requested by others. As stated in the *Mādhyamakāvatāra*: The tranquil body manifests like a wish-granting tree, Like a wish-fulfilling jewel, without conceptualization. Continuously present in the world to liberate beings, That which is free from elaboration appears. So it was said. 4. Summary of the Main Points of the Tenets: All entities negated by reasoning are mere nominalities. Conditioned phenomena are deceptive; the non-deceptive is Nirvana. The root of existence is grasping at true existence; what it generates is defilement-obscuration. Since the views of the three Yanas are similar, the path of seeing is one. With the cessation of knowable objects, the Buddha is merely omniscience. These are the main characteristics of this system of tenets. Although there are many unique features of the tenets of this system, there are five main ones: Leaving aside logical inference, both the Madhyamaka of this system and the conventional understanding of the two worldly systems (i.e., Svātantrika and lower schools), for all classifications of valid and invalid cognitions conceptually fabricated by reasoning, are rejected. That is, all internal and external causal phenomena (275b), from the perspective of the object's inherent nature, are not established even conventionally; they are asserted to be mere nominal imputations conceptually fabricated by the mind. For example, it is stated that the truth and falsity of a horse and ox in a dream and in waking are equivalent. Moreover, if something is a conditioned phenomenon, it does not remain for a second instant at the moment of its inherent establishment, but acts in an instant.
