Knowing that all are merely imputed, knowing that all are merely conceptual consciousness, and by refuting the notion of mere conceptual consciousness, one sequentially enters into these three. In short, fully knowing the error of the imputed nature, abandoning the conceptual fabrications of the dependent nature, and directly perceiving the perfectly established nature, one enters the path. At what stage or time does one enter? Through fervent practice, the two (paths of accumulation and preparation), one sequentially enters the paths of seeing, meditation, and the path of completion. P4. Fourth, its causes and effects are: Its causes and effects are by dwelling in the conduct of the six perfections. The cause for the initial arising of the stages of that path, and also the form of the ultimate fruit, is through dwelling in the practice of the six perfections. P5. Fifth, the detailed classification is: The modes of sequentially traversing the ten bhumis are fully classified. Through the six perfections, the modes of entering into perfect understanding, and the modes of the ten bhumis such as 'Utmost Joy', are fully classified. These also include the modes of traversing the bhumis by the perfections, the modes of attaining the bhumis, and the modes of traversing them for how long (254b). P6. Sixth, the three trainings are: The three kinds of higher trainings to be learned. The six perfections mentioned above are also included within the three trainings, and these are the objects of study for Bodhisattvas. Regarding this, the higher training of ethics is: The three kinds, such as the ethics of restraint. Because it differs from the Hinayana by the generation of bodhicitta and so forth, the term "higher" is applied. The higher training of mind is: Meditating on the perfections, maturing sentient beings, and practicing the Bodhisattva's samadhi such as 'Heroic Progress' and so forth, for the sake of accomplishing all Buddha-dharmas. The higher training of wisdom is: Having abandoned all characteristics and conceptual elaborations, spontaneously accomplishing non-conceptualization, and subsequently engaging in conduct like a magical illusion, which is the perfection of wisdom. Generally, although the Bodhisattva's trainings are immeasurable, when summarized, they are included in these. P7. Seventh, the purified fruit is: The fruit is abandonment and the perfection of wisdom. The fruit that arises from that is...

Perfect abandonment, meaning the vanquishing of afflictive obscurations and cognitive obscurations; perfect wisdom, meaning the Essential Body (Svabhavakaya), Complete Enjoyment Body (Sambhogakaya), and Emanation Body (Nirmanakaya). These three Kayas, in their essence or characteristics, are endowed with the Dharma Body (Dharmakaya), and are furthermore transformed, the basis of pure dharmas, non-dual, permanent, and inconceivable, thus possessing five aspects. From this, it becomes the source from which immeasurable and inconceivable Buddha qualities (dharmas) emanate. Some points concerning the grounds and paths (sa lam) will be explained below; if one wishes to understand in detail (page 255 reverse), one should comprehend them in earlier Tibetan treatises such as the 'Tree of Renowned Venerable Ones' (rje btsun grags pa'i ljon shing). These are also presented based on the assertions of earlier Tibetans, meaning the tradition that asserts Mind-Only (Cittamātra) in the treatises of Maitreya's Dharmas (byams chos) and the Asanga (thogs med) brothers. 3. Third, the explanation of detailed divisions, has two parts: 1. General explanation, and 2. Actual divisions. 1. The first is: Other than the root consciousness of one's own system, External objects are not established in the slightest, like a dream. The fundamental assertion of the general Mind-Only school is that, apart from mere cognition/consciousness, not even a tiny bit of external objects are established, which is asserted to be like the appearances in a dream. This is because all objects like forms and their arising and cessation, etc., are merely mental appearances, similar to seeing falling hairs or two moons; and because if external objects truly existed, they would have to appear in the non-conceptual wisdom of the noble ones' meditative equipoise, but they do not appear from that perspective; and because, from a single object, a river, due to good and bad karma, devas see it as nectar, humans see it as water, hungry ghosts see it as pus and blood, and hot hell beings see it as molten copper, and so forth—the appearances for the six realms, even when not tainted by temporary mistaken causes, appear differently to each. Furthermore, by means of many scriptural citations and lines of reasoning, external objects are refuted and merely cognition/consciousness is established. 2. Second, there are two parts: 1. The main (actual), and 2. Corollaries (incidental points). 1. The first has two parts: 1. The division of True Aspectarians (Satyakārā), and 2. The division of False Aspectarians (Alīkakārā). 1. The first also has two parts: 1. The general assertion of the True Aspectarians, and 2. Its specific divisions. 1. The first is: Concerning this, there are two ways of asserting, True Aspectarians, Appearance
