For the method of realization, it will be explained through the three gates of liberation and eleven categories. Among these, the three gates of liberation are: the ground is emptiness, the path is signlessness, and the result is wishlessness. Then, the hidden meaning—the eight manifest realizations (Abhisamayas)—are, as stated in the *Abhisamayālaṅkāra*: The Perfection of Wisdom, Is truly taught by eight topics. Omniscience, Path-knowledge, Then Knowledge of All. All-aspect realization, Reaching the peak, and successive, One-moment perfect enlightenment, And the Dharmakāya; these are the eight. As stated. The seventy topics are: ten dharmas signifying omniscience, eleven dharmas signifying path-knowledge, nine dharmas signifying knowledge of all, eleven dharmas signifying all-aspect application, eight dharmas signifying peak application, thirteen dharmas signifying successive application, four dharmas signifying one-moment application, and four dharmas signifying the resultant Dharmakāya. The three gates for explaining these are: for those who understand by a mere mention, the gate of concise presentation; for those who understand by a slight elaboration, the gate of medium presentation; and for those who cling to words, the gate of extensive explanation. The eleven categories are: Śāriputra, Subhūti, Śakra (Indra), again Subhūti, Maitreya, again Subhūti, Śakra (Indra), Subhūti, Maitreya, Subhūti, and Ānanda, who are presented in order through questions and answers, and so on. The purpose of this Dharma wheel is: directly, for those sentient beings who, through the method of turning the wheel, are destined to be liberated and need to rely on this to enter the realm of the Tathāgata; and indirectly, to dispel the obscurations of wrong views for all sentient beings, thereby realizing the true nature of all phenomena (leaf 103) as it is, and thus attaining the great nirvāṇa that abides not in the two extremes. Three, the third [final Dharma wheel] is: The final (wheel) mainly teaches the three characteristics. The characteristic of the final Dharma wheel is: any sacred Dharma taught by the Teacher, which, with the ultimate meaning in mind, was primarily taught to irreversible Bodhisattvas. Its examples are: mostly

These are the scriptural collections, such as the *Ratnakuta Sutra* and the *Lankavatara Sutra*, which primarily expound the discourse on the Tathagatagarbha. Why are these called the “well-distinguished Dharma wheels”? Because all phenomena, from form to omniscience, are imputed, dependent, and perfected natures. Since they are primarily taught by well-distinguishing these three characteristics, they are called such. Regarding the actual basis of the final Dharma wheel, what exactly is its ultimate scope? Even within the realm of what we ordinary beings see and hear, it is taught in places like Malaya Mountain, Bodhimanda, and Vaishali at indefinite times. Therefore, it is difficult to definitively assert that it is exclusively this. Nevertheless, the aforementioned (scriptures) and those with extensive words and meanings, such as the *Ratnakuta Sutra*, are fitting to be placed there. Moreover, in most of the Mahayana and Hinayana sutras, many teachings that are taught with “intentional meaning” (dgongs pa can) are largely clearly expounded in these (well-distinguished Dharma wheels). For example, in the Vinaya Sutra, monks are permitted to eat “pure meat”: This meat, pure in three ways, Not seen (killed for oneself), Not heard (killed for oneself), Not suspected (killed for oneself), Therefore, such meat should not be eaten. And so on, for there are many such teachings taught with intentional meaning. Second, establishing it as Dharma-skandhas: All are called Dharma-skandhas, Which are eighty-four thousand. Thus, all scriptural teachings are generally called Dharma-skandhas, because they appear as aggregates of many expressive words and expressed meanings. Moreover, in the *Abhidharmakosha*, the Dharma-skandhas are said to be eighty thousand. In the *Abhidharmakosha-Tika*, it is also stated that some schools (sde pa) assert eighty-four thousand, and Mahayanists accept the latter, as is commonly known. Furthermore, the Omniscient Drimed Özer stated: if divided by the variety of antidotes, there are eighty-four thousand Dharma-skandhas. As it says in the *Drön Sal*: The Great Sage, Taught eighty-four thousand Dharma-skandhas. Regarding the measure of the skandhas, the Shravakas have three ways of assertion. Although there are many assertions regarding the measure of each Dharma-skandha, the Shravakas' assertion...
