二、[差别语(specific transmitted Dharma)之法性]: 传法(transmission)之本体,乃语表(manifest consciousness of speech)也; 由佛陀(Victorious One)之智慧,众生(sentient beings)心相续清净故, 所化(those to be tamed)之识,现为名、句、字(names, words, and letters); 说一切有部(Vaibhashikas)谓名(names)与句(words)是二聚(two aggregates)。 经部(Sautrantikas)则谓彼声(sound)为自相(intrinsically existent),故为色蕴(form aggregate),是故彼等宣说二种实有边(two extremes of phenomena)。 二、字义(etymology): “法-轮”(Dharma-Chakra)中“轮”字之字义,

All scriptures also enter the Dharma Wheel. Acarya Vasubandhu said: "The wheel that demonstrates the nature of conventional dharma is the Dharma Wheel." Just as the names Prajnaparamita and Abhidharma, etc., are not contradictory to entering the treatises, so too is it reasonable here. Alternatively, the Dharma Wheel is a branch of the path of accumulation and application, which are the actual understood dharmas. Although it is said that the scriptures are for making others understand them, thus it is called "turning the Dharma Wheel," this is only one good aspect. Second, [the definition of the specific transmitted Dharma] is: The essence of transmission is the manifest consciousness of speech; From the pure minds of sentient beings, which are the wisdom of the Victorious One, The consciousness of those to be tamed appears as names, words, and letters; The Vaibhashikas assert that names and words are two aggregates. Regarding this, the essence of the specific transmitted Dharma Wheel is: whatever sacred Dharma taught by the Teacher, which primarily expresses one of the three — cause, effect, or nature of Nirvana — is the manifest consciousness appearing in the form of speech. The example of this is: based on two conditions, the dominant condition being the Buddha's wisdom, and the causal condition being the purification of the minds of sentient beings to be tamed, the consciousness of those to be tamed appears in the form of names, words, and letters. This is because the Blessed One does not possess imprints that initiate speech, and (100b) does not have ignorance that clings to inner consciousness as external sound. Therefore, ultimately, it is not taught due to the Tathagata's intention. Therefore, some Mahayana sutras state that the Sugata did not teach even a single word of Dharma, which refers to this meaning. The Hinayanists do not accept this, as stated in the Abhidharmakosha: Whatever the Sage taught, Those are words or names, They are included in forms and compositional factors. As stated, the Vaibhashikas assert that the essence of the scriptures is a collection of names, words, and letters, a string of general sounds, which are non-associated compositional factors. The Sautrantikas assert that sound is intrinsically existent, hence it is a form aggregate, thus asserting the two extremes of phenomena. Second, the etymology is: The etymology of the latter word Dharma-chakra is...

The wheel of realization and the collection of scriptural dharma. In Sanskrit, it is called Dharma Chakra (དྷརྨ་ཙཀྲ་, Dharma Chakra, 达摩查克拉). The explanation of the word Dharma (དྷརྨ་) has been given previously. The word Chakra (ཙཀྲ་) also means "to transfer" and "to gather." Therefore, the Dharma Wheel of realization appears to transfer into the minds of sentient beings to be tamed, and the Dharma Wheel of scripture is the very nature of many aggregates of Dharma. Hence, it is so called. The Dharma friend also said: "The wheel (chakra) is called a wheel either because it appears to transfer into the minds of those to be tamed, or for the meaning of gathering. The meaning of the sound is near to these." Furthermore, another name for it is "Brahma's Wheel." As stated in the Abhidharma Kosha: "It is indeed the wheel of pure conduct, of Brahma, because it is turned by Brahma." It appears thus. Third, regarding classification, there are two: 1. Common (classification); 2. Uncommon (classification). The first (common classification) has two: 1. The division of the Dharma Wheel into three; 2. The establishment of it as aggregates of Dharma. The first (division into three Dharma Wheels) has two: 1. General (discussion); 2. Specific (establishment). The first (general discussion) is: If divided, the first is the Four Noble Truths, the middle is without characteristics, and the last is well-discriminated. It is taught to obtain definite emancipation, irreversible discourse, peaceful entry, maturity, and prophecy. It dispels unwholesome karma, self-grasping, and all wrong views. If that scriptural Dharma is classified, among Mahayana practitioners, it is widely known and established that there are three types of Dharma Wheels. These are: the First Dharma Wheel – the Dharma Wheel of the Four Noble Truths; the Middle Dharma Wheel – the Dharma Wheel without characteristics; and the Last Dharma Wheel – the Dharma Wheel of well-discriminated phenomena. Furthermore, in the Sutra Requested by Dharani-ishvara-raja (the King who is Master of Dharanis), it is stated: The Tathagata (or Buddha), having understood the realm of sentient beings who are not yet fully purified, uses words of impermanence, suffering, selflessness, and impurity that lead to disenchantment, causing those sentient beings who are deeply attached to samsara to become disenchanted. He leads them to enter the noble Dharma and discipline. Even with just this, the Tathagata's diligence does not cease. After this, with words of emptiness, signlessness, and wishlessness, he enables them to comprehend the Tathagata's principle. Even with just that, the Tathagata's diligence does not cease.
