It is explained as merely a person, clear light, and so on. Regarding karmas, although they cease immediately after being performed, they themselves, even after hundreds of aeons, produce results without being wasted. At this point, when investigating what is the basis for the not-wasted karma and its result, which is related to cause and effect, some proponents of tenets say: it is 'acquisition' or 'possession'; and others say: it is another phenomenon that is not wasted. These two, some within the Vaibhashikas consider them substantially existent, while others consider them nominally existent. The Mind-Only school says: it is the alaya-consciousness because karmic imprints are accumulated upon it, and from experiencing their ripening, it is the alaya-consciousness. Those who do not accept the alaya-consciousness and assert the six collections of consciousness, assert it to be the continuous stream of mental consciousness. (38b) Some Madhyamikas, though there are many such assertions, say: it is the nominally existent that is merely imputed as 'I' or 'person', and so on. However, all of these are merely exaggerations based on seeing only one aspect, and although they are not the true nature of reality, for now, refutations and affirmations are set aside. According to the tantric system, the accumulator of karma, the clear light, and the subtle indestructible self united with the six impure elements, or that very person of the great being, is asserted to be the basis of karma in all respects. Furthermore, regarding that karma, there are two types: common karma that produces appearances, and uncommon karma that produces experiences. From the former (common karma), the container world is formed; from the latter (uncommon karma), sentient beings (contents) are formed. In the Great Yoga Tantra, it is set forth as the three: ground, path, and fruition. In the context of the ground, the container world is external, sentient beings (contents) are internal; the primordial wisdom that is the basis for the appearance of both container and contents, and that is concordant with these two, is called 'other'. Thus, the world realm, which pervades both external and internal (as the pervaded), and is 'other-powered' (paratantra) (as the pervader), is established. Moreover, there are also many roughly detailed explanations by Indian and Tibetan scholars in this context. 2. The second (topic): A detailed explanation of the cause of the container (world), which has two parts: 1. The system of the Vaibhashikas. 2. The intention (view) of the Kalachakra and others. 1. The first (part) is: The Vaibhashikas say: from the winds at the apex of the world or from other elements, Carrying the five types of seeds, the container (world) is formed. The streams of continuity do not diverge, bound by common karma.

The long-abiding appearance of forms is an illusion of childish minds, Noble ones have spoken of knowing atoms and momentary cessation. Moreover, based on the theory that karma is the cause, the Vaibhashika (Sautrantika) proponents of the Hearer vehicle state that the cause of the first moment of the desire realm wind during the formation of a kalpa is the un-destroyed wind of the vessel world from the previous kalpa's destruction (39N). It is said that this wind possesses the capacity to produce various coarse results born from karma. Furthermore, the Teacher (Buddha) states in a sutra: "Wind carries seeds from other world realms." Therefore, the vessel world is formed from five kinds of seeds: root seeds, differentiating seeds, seeds of seeds, tip seeds, and trunk seeds, root seeds, differentiating seeds, seeds of seeds, tip seeds, and trunk seeds. Moreover, coarse matter is constructed from the aggregation of countless indivisible atoms. The continuities that appear to exist presently, enduring without being scattered by strong winds and so forth, are encompassed by the collective karma of sentient beings. Mountains and other forms arise from numerous atoms, and the long appearance of years due to continuous moments is a coarse illusion in the minds of ordinary beings. Noble ones have known atoms and momentary cessation. From Venerable Palleg's "Seventy Atoms": A single hair on the palm, People do not perceive it. But if it enters the eye, It causes discomfort. Similarly, childish beings, like the palm, Do not perceive formations as atoms. Noble ones, who are like eyes, Profoundly realize this. Thus it was said. Secondly, [The Intent of Kalachakra, etc.]: Mind is the agent, atoms are the stable and moving winds, Actions and functions, mostly align in their accomplishment. To facilitate understanding, here is a detailed explanation in conjunction with the presentation of the three
