By his power, for a hundred years, the root tantra was taught and glorious empowerments were bestowed. After the successive appearance of seven Dharma Kings, Manjushri's emanation, the renowned Gragspa (Yashas, the first Kalki of Shambhala), unified the four secret and supreme vajra families into one. He then bestowed empowerment in a single mandala and taught the tantras to all the people of Shambhala, including the Rishi Suryaratha (Sun Chariot) and four hundred and fifty million Brahmana Rishis. From that point on, they were known as Rigden (Kalki). At the request of Suryaratha (Sun Chariot), the Abridged Tantra was extracted from the Root Tantra. Thereafter, Rigden Pema Karpo (Pundarika, the second Kalki) composed the extensive commentary to the Abridged Tantra, "Stainless Light" (Vimalaprabha), and "Ultimate Approach" (Paramartha-Seva), among others. Subsequently, the Rigdens who have already appeared and those who are yet to appear will certainly remain on the Vajra Throne for a hundred years each (Page 223, a side), constantly turning the unsurpassed Dharma Wheel, beginning with the ultimate secret of the glorious Kalachakra. By its power, the lords of the ninety-six great lands, adorned with golden crowns, along with their retinues, also possessed the fortunate destiny to partake in the Dharma of the Mahayana Secret Mantra. \t\t\tIn the future, in twelve segments of land, \t\t\tThe Rigden King will gradually usher in the perfected age. \t\t\tIn the future, when the Mleccha (barbarians) proliferate and nearly dominate this small Jambudvipa, Rigden Dragpo Khorlo (Rudra Chakrin, the last Kalki) will subdue them with his emanated army. In those twelve segments of land, that Rigden Dharma King will establish the teaching of the great secret Vajrayana. His son, Tsangpa Lhawang (Indra), along with his lineage, will gradually lead beings into the perfected age by circling to the right, and will uphold the Dharma kingdom. \t\t\tChapter 2: [On the Origin in the Land of China] \t\t\tIn the land of China, one hundred and ten years after the Teacher (Buddha Shakyamuni) passed into nirvana, \t\t\tDuring the reign of Han Mingdi, the teachings began to flourish. \t\t\tMany Arhats and translators appeared. \t\t\tRespecting the Sutra and Vinaya as primary, the Sakya, Kagyu, and Gelug traditions were honored. \t\t\tIn Maha Cina, meaning the land of China, one hundred and ten years after the Teacher passed into nirvana, according to the lineage of Han (dynasty), during the time of the King called Han Mingdi, in accordance with the auspicious dream of King Jiujiu Wang, as previously recorded in the Jizhou Zhuan, inscribed on a stone pillar, from the Noble Land (India)...

Two panditas named Grol-ba and 'Bar-ba, who had seen the truth, brought fifty-two categories of Dharma from the Hinayana Tripitaka, loaded upon a white horse, a painted image of the Buddha that originated from Udayana, thus establishing the beginning of the Dharma. Initially, the monastery named Sai-ba'i-gsi was built. The two panditas also attained arhatship. They subdued those evil ones (Zin-shing). Many faithful individuals (from page 223b) became monastics, and the Sangha greatly flourished. Later, Pandita Kumara was invited, and he too propagated the Dharma. During the Tang dynasty, someone named Tang Dzang Dzang became a disciple of the master Vasubandhu and translated immeasurable Mahayana and Hinayana Dharma. Before this, it is said that approximately two hundred Chinese translators capable of translating Dharma appeared, and they too translated much Dharma, so the Dharma greatly flourished, and many arhats also appeared. From then until the time of the kings of Minyak and Hor, during the many dynasties in China, and from then until now, the Dharma has remained. The Minyak king Taihu invited the Dharma Lord Dusum Khyenpa (the 3rd Karmapa), but he did not come; instead, Tsangpo-pa was sent, and Dharma was heard from him. In the Hor region, during the time of Genghis Khan, Zhangtsalwa's disciple Tsangpa Dungkhurwa went to the Hor region and merely inspired faith in the worship of heaven. Later, Minyak was also conquered by Hor. Later, King Godan invited Sakya Pandita. After that, the Dharma Lord Rinpoché Phagpa also elucidated the Dharma through conferring empowerment upon Prince Kublai, and so on. Möngke Khan invited Karma Pakshi and others, and thus the Dharma in Tibet also received appropriate offerings. Later in China, Emperor Ming Taizu invited Virupa and the Sixteen Arhats. Emperor Ta Ming Yongle invited the Dharma Lord Tathagata and others, and only such kings who respectfully offered to the Dharma appeared. In the present Qing dynasty lineage, Emperor Shunzhi invited the Omniscient Ngawang Lobsang Gyatso (the 5th Dalai Lama) and others, and from then until now, the Dharma continues to receive respectful offerings. However, in China, Dharma King Phagpa performed the Hevajra mandala (from page 224a) empowerment for Emperor Kublai...
