The wise ones such as Lharigpai Sengge and Brahmin Livikara, having learned the excellent phonology and script from them, came to Tibet. The king was pleased by the eulogies specially recited in a difficult-to-achieve manner. At his palace Maru, taking the Nagara script as an example, he newly created the form of the Tibetan script, and furthermore, he discarded the vowels and consonants that were not needed for the Tibetan language. Adding six essential letters, he established the writing system, including what is known as the 'thirty root letters and six derived letters.' It is said that he authored eight treatises on grammar, including the 'Sum cu pa' (Thirty Verses) and 'Rtags kyi 'jug pa' (Application of Gender Signs), but it is stated that the remaining six, apart from the Sum cu pa and Rtags kyi 'jug pa, disappeared during the time of Glang Darma. This writing tradition was gradually passed down and was well-established and widely propagated by Khyungpo Yutri and Sumpa Norgyin, among others. The minor origins of crafts are beyond mention. It is said that most actions of body, speech, and mind, such as the renowned eighteen crafts, are included within the science of crafts; therefore, the minor origins of these are difficult to ascertain, cannot be fully enumerated, and there is no need to do so. J4. The fourth part explains the origin of the science of medicine, divided into three points: N1. Who first conceived it and from whom was it transmitted? N2. How the Buddha taught it in between? N3. How it was finally propagated in India and Tibet. N1. Firstly: Brahma first conceived the Ayurveda, Seeking nectar, he created a hundred thousand medical treatments. Gradually transmitted to Indra, then learned by Shenu (Son of Wisdom), Who composed the great treatise called 'Summary of Brahma's Teachings.' Although in Buddhist tantric treatises (page 211), the true historical accounts of the eternal and valid Vedas (Rigveda) are extensively refuted, in this common logical context, accepting the renowned treatises of the Vedas as they are, based on the understanding of masters such as Ācārya Dpa’bo (Ashvaghosha): Formerly, during the great perfect eon (Dzogden Chenpo), when lifespans had slightly declined from immeasurable, and both gods and humans experienced death, the gods deliberated on the means to immortality. It is narrated in the work of Zla Zér that from Brahma's shoulder blades, without effort, the spontaneously arisen sound In some Vedic treatises, it is said to have spontaneously emerged from his mouth. In any case, thereafter...

Firstly, it is stated that the four Vedas originated from (Brahma's) four faces: As it is said: “From Brahma's faces, From the central face, the Veda of Life (Ayurveda) arose, The Veda of Hymns (Rig Veda), the Veda of Chants (Sama Veda), and the Veda of Sacrifices (Yajur Veda), Were spoken from the other faces.” Accordingly, initially, from the central face, the Veda of Life (Ayurveda) emerged, having been spontaneously recalled. The others then appeared sequentially. All four are considered uncreated and therefore eternal, self-arisen and uncompounded by effort, and are valid sources suitable for articulation, thus possessing the three qualities. Following this, when searching for the elixir (Amrita) from the great ocean, Mount Mandara was used as the churning rod, and Vasuki, the serpent king, as the churning rope. Brahma, having placed the world's medicines and essences into it, churned vigorously. Initially, a dark, piled-up substance (the poison Halahala) emerged. Brahma subdued it with a (ཧཱུྃ, हूँ, Hūṃ, awe, subjugation) syllable, and it dissolved into all moving and non-moving beings, becoming known as poison. Thereafter, Lakshmi, Ucchaihshravas (the divine horse), Airavata (the divine elephant), the sun and moon, and so forth, appeared in sequence. When the substance called 'wine' (Varuni) appeared, some, fearing it, did not drink it and became known as Asuras (anti-gods); those who could drink it became known as Devas (gods). Finally, eight large vessels full of Amrita appeared, which were seized by the Asuras. Vishnu and Indra, relying on disguise, stole it back, and the Devas drank it, thus becoming known as immortals (211b). Following this, a great treatise called 'The Hundred Thousand Treatises on Medical Science' emerged. Brahma explained it to his son, Prajapati. He, in turn, explained it to the two sons of Ashvin, the divine physicians. They then sequentially transmitted and explained it to Indra. Indra then explained it to Jīvaka, Dhānvantari, Dka'-gnyis-spyod, Mu-khyud-'dzin, the son of Drob-skyong, Bshol-'gro-skyes, and others. The former (sages) composed a great treatise called 'The Compendium of Brahma's Explanation'. From gods to humans, through Agnivēśa and others, Haricandra, Caraka, and other learned sages, Composed many medical treatises. The great sages mentioned above explained (the teachings) to Agnivēśa, Krishnatreya, Indian Juniper Nose, Supreme Arrow, Lañja's Hand, and others. Each of them composed various detailed treatises. Thus, these teachings, passed down from the divine sages, gradually reached humans. As stated in 'The Essence of Attainment': "This Veda of preserving life (Ayurveda) was explained by Brahma in the celestial realms, and subsequently, the King of Kashi (Varanasi) transmitted it to humans."
