The great scholar Vanaratna from eastern India came to Tibet, imparting the complete, unparalleled oral instructions of the long lineage of mahasiddhas. He also bestowed the close lineage of Ritröd Wangchuk upon Gos Lotsawa Zhonnu Pal, Chennga Chokyi Drakpa, and others. Furthermore, later, Buddhagupta, a disciple of the great siddha Shantipa, also transmitted the unique Six-limbed Yoga (ṣaḍaṅgayoga) ear-whispered lineage of Shantipa to the great Jonang masters. \t\t\tT5. The Fifth [Identifying the Unique Tradition]: \t\t\tThe supremely knowing lord, endowed with the four reliances, \t\t\tIn this degenerate age, the true Vajradhara, the Protector Tarapada, \t\t\tThe excellent Kagyu lineage of the Second Kalki. \t\t\tAmong all these traditions, particularly outstanding are: the incarnation of Kalki (Rigden Sprulpay Ku) Dolpopa Chenpo Sherab Gyaltsen Pal Zangpo, who, prophesied in the Mahābherīhāraka Sūtra and other texts as a monk holding the insignia of the Buddha, was thoroughly proficient in all the Buddha's teachings and possessed the four supreme reliances; and at the end of this degenerate age, the great siddha, the mighty practitioner (Spyod 'chang wang po), who deliberately took rebirth and attained the stage of the second Vajradhara in the profound secret mysteries—the venerable Protector Tarapada (Jetsun Drolway Gonpo)—who established the tradition of the chariot. These constitute the Kagyu lineage of the Second Kalki, which is superior to others, and upon which this practice lineage's (sgrub brgyud) great teachings have descended. \t\t\tJ8. The Eighth: Explaining the Tradition of Vajra Sādhanā (Vajra-Nyensgrub) has two parts: N1. Identifying the Tradition; N2. Explaining the Lineage. \t\t\tN1. The First (part): \t\t\tGround, Path, and Fruition, inseparable Vajra Three, \t\t\tApproach and Accomplishment, the great accomplishment branches, the Yoginī, \t\t\tBestowed upon Rinchen Pal, the union of mind. \t\t\tThe basis to be purified is the three vajras of body, speech, and mind, characterized by being inseparable and continuous throughout the three stages of ground, path, and fruition. That which is to be purified are the three—body, speech, and mind—obscured by the latent tendencies of the four momentary deluded grasps (197n). The means of purification are: the branch of approach (nyen pa) through contemplation (sor bsam), the branch of accomplishment (sgrub pa) through vital energy (srog rtsol), and the branch of great accomplishment (sgrub pa chen po) through recollection (dran ting). Through these three branches, those with keen faculties and diligence can manifest the three kāyas (bodies) in a single lifetime.

This is the instruction manual for the "Path to Enlightenment," bestowed by the Buddha Mother Vajrayogini herself, who imparted the essence of her mind to the great Siddha Urgyenpa Rinchen Pal. This great Siddha thoroughly studied the Sutra and Tantra teachings, and from Sangye Dorje, the holder of the Kalachakra lineage of the Rong tradition, he received the commentary on the Kalachakra Tantra and its oral instructions, becoming an exceptionally learned scholar. From the enlightened Gotsangpa, he attained ultimate realization. He traveled to many sacred places such as Jalandhara. In particular, he arrived in the western land of Urgyen (Odiyana). Through his pure view and ascetic practices, he subdued all obstacles, fears, and illusions. In the four directions of the central Dhuma Thala, he received blessings from the four classes of Dakinis. As predicted by the illusory beautiful woman, in the town called Kavoka, Vajrayogini herself first appeared in the form of a prostitute, granting food, drink, and the bliss of touch, which released all his channels' knots. Accompanied by great signs such as sounds and earthquakes, Vajradakini then manifested in her true form and perfectly bestowed this instruction. The previous four Dakinis and the fifth Lion-faced Dakini (Simhamukha) each also gave an instruction, enabling him to abide in the state of great accomplishment. Later, he came to Tibet, and according to the prophecy of the Dakinis, first in Yarsang, at the request of Nub Dülwa Zengpa's nephew, Rinpoche Khar Chuwa, he committed this teaching to writing. 2. The second part [Explanation of the Lineage]: Khar Chuwa and Dawa Seng Putrabha, From Zurphuk Nyen Do and many sibling lineages, The Second Buddha Rangjung Chöje, Elucidated the Vajra words, illuminating the excellent path of instruction. Rinpoche Khar Chuwa requested each teaching with a Mandala offering of one sho (ounce) of gold and also compiled notes. The teaching master, the realized Dawa Sengge, compiled all the oral instructions into a volume. Afterward, this teaching method became predominant. Zhönnu Pal of Golung asked questions to the master, who provided answers that Zhönnu Pal then recorded. The scholar-monk Sonam Özer Putrabha did not clearly hear the texts. Furthermore, the great commentary composed by Rinchen Pal of Zurphukpa, along with the commentaries on the Vajra-words composed by the scholar Shangtön and Nyen Do Künga Döndrup, these four works...
