It is said there are two: many and few. (168a) In Tibet, initially, Paṇḍita (ཤྲཱི་བྷ་དྲ་བོ་དྷི།, श्रीभद्रबोधि, Śrībhadrabodhi, Śrībhadrabodhi) and Gyi Jo Lotsawa translated the tantric commentaries and established the tradition of empowerment explanations and oral instructions. This lineage, transmitted through Phrom Lotsawa and others, became known as the Gyi Jo tradition. Tsami Sangye Drak heard from Düshabpa and translated the great commentary, explaining it to disciples like Ga Lo, thus forming the Tsami tradition. Ra Chos Rab heard and translated the tantric commentary from the Nepalese Paṇḍita (ས་མནྟ་ཤྲཱི།, समन्तश्री, Samantaśrī, Samantaśrī), which was then disseminated to Ra Yeshe Sengge and others, forming the Ra tradition. Dro Lotsawa relied on Kashmiri (Kashmir) (ཟླ་བ་མགོན་པོ།, चन्द्रगोमिन्, Candragomin, Chandragomin) and completely translated the tantric commentaries, except for the chapter on "Supreme Immutable" (Mchog mi 'gyur gyi le'u). He received the empowerment explanations and oral instructions. Later, the Paṇḍita himself translated the "Supreme Immutable." Paṇchen met Grub Sgom in 'Phan yul, and thereby became accomplished in both scholarship and spiritual attainment in Kālacakra He explained it to Dro ston and others, thus establishing the tradition of explaining based on Dro's translation, which is the Dro tradition. Furthermore, there are three traditions given by the Kashmiri (Kashmir) Paṇchen (ཤཱཀྱ་ཤྲཱི།, शाक्यश्री, Śākyaśrī, Śākyaśrī) to Chag dGra Bcom, dPyal Chos kyi bZang po, and Sakya Paṇchen. Rong Gling Lotsawa Dorje Wangchuk, Steng Lo Tshul Khrims 'byung Gnas, She'u Lotsawa, and Se Lo Gzhon nu Tshul Khrims each also requested teachings from Tsami and Abhaya and others, and propagated them. The former established the monastery called Rong Gling Sog Ka. Chag Lo Chos rje dPal received complete empowerment explanations and oral instructions from (རཱ་ཧུ་ལ་ཤྲཱི་བྷ་དྲ།, राहुलश्रीभद्रा, Rāhulaśrībhadrā, Rāhulaśrībhadrā) and (ཛི་ན་རཀྵི་ཏ།, जिनरक्षित, Jinarakṣita, Jinarakṣita) and others, thus forming the Chag tradition. Paṇchen (བི་བྷཱུ་ཏི་ཙནྡྲ།, विभूतिचन्द्र, Vibhūticandra, Vibhūticandra) bestowed empowerments, tantric commentaries, and teachings to many virtuous spiritual friends in Tibet. Especially, he bestowed the close lineage instructions of (ཤ་བ་རི།, शवरी, Śavarī, Śavarī) to Ko Brag pa and nine other holy disciples, and many other traditions emerged. It is said that there are also about twenty-four different translations of the tantra. Among these, the three traditions of Ra, Dro (168b), and Chag, along with the traditions of Tsami and Paṇchen (བི་བྷཱུ་ཏི་ཙནྡྲ།, विभूतिचन्द्र, Vibhūticandra, Vibhūticandra), all completely preserve the teachings of empowerment explanations and oral instructions. Most of these traditions were heard and propagated by Kun mkhyen Rang byung Zhabs from sNye Mdo Kun dGa' Don grub, thus flourishing and developing. The meaning of the "Element Chapter" is the "Compendium of Calculations"; the meaning of the "Inner Chapter" is the profound "Inner Meaning"; the meaning of the "Empowerment Chapter" and "Sādhana Chapter" are "Empowerment" and "Sādhana"; the meaning of the "Primordial Wisdom Chapter" is "Clarification of the Essence of the Three Yogas."

The lineage of guided instructions. The teaching lineage of the Six Branches of Completion Stage has remained unbroken, and the lineage of its doctrinal explanation also continues to exist to this day. However, primarily due to the 'Bro tradition of practical application and the Ra tradition of Tantra explanation as prophesied, these respective lineages seem to have fallen upon the two venerable ones, Jo and Zhal. Furthermore, regarding the Tantra explanation, Jonang Dharma King Kunkhyen Chenpo diligently taught and propagated it, and most of his fourteen disciples, similar to himself, maintained the lineage, but it no longer exists today. Butön Rinpoche heard it from the Rwa tradition's explanation lineage and gave about thirty-two Tantra explanations. For annotating the Tantra, Kyörwa Dönyöd Palwa made annotations, and relying on works such as "Key to the Precious Method of Explanation," "Ear of Definitive Meaning," "Light Rays Illuminating the Essence of Profound Meaning through Explanatory Companion," "Spotless Ornament of Chapters," "Treatise on Astrology Delighting the Wise" with its branches, and the notes of the great heart-son translator, the Shalu tradition's explanation lineage remains unbroken to this day. Je Rinpoche heard it from Butön's third disciple, Dechen Chökyi Palwa. On one occasion when the explanation lineage was propagated, countless holders of the Tripitaka gathered, and about three great commentators emerged. Among them, from the commentary of Khedrup Geleg Pelwa, Shangshungpa Chöwang Drakpa (169a) continued the lineage, and thus the tradition of teaching and listening still exists today. The profound and extensive teachings of Jo and Zhal's empowerments, transmissions, and pith instructions also continue unbroken. \t\t\tIn this regard, when explaining this king of Tantras, it generally expounds on three points: the meaning of the content to be explained, the words used for explanation, and the manner of explanation. \t\t\tSecondly, there are two parts: the branches of the explanation method, and the content to be explained. \t\t\tFirst, it will explain four aspects: how the Buddha appeared, how he taught the General Vehicle and specifically the Kalachakra, the history of its transmission, and how to teach and listen to it. \t\t\tSecondly, it begins by explaining three points: the explainer, the master (acharya); the listener, the disciple; and how the explanation and listening should proceed. Through this, the actual explanation is the "Great Tantra Commentary," which contains five pure dharmas, having eighty-one pure characteristic abodes. From the perspective of chapters, the first chapter is "World Realm Chapter" ('Jig rten khams le), where there are ten empowered ones.
