Pyal and Ram \t\t\tThe supremely excellent Marpa, Drogmi, Ngog, and Sakyapa, \t\t\tRaised the victory banner of the teachings until the end of existence. \t\t\tAmong these traditions, in Tibet, those upholding the traditions of the Master Virupa and Dombipa, etc., were Drogmi Shakya Yeshe, who relied on the Pandita Gayadhara, etc., and received empowerments, explanations, and oral instructions, which were then closely transmitted and widely spread through the Venerable Sakyapa uncle and nephew (Khubon), and others; \t\t\tThe traditions of Tsokye (Lake-born) and Shantipa were requested by Gos Lhatse from the feet of Brahmana Nagpo, etc., and thus flourished; \t\t\tThe traditions translated and explained by Gyijo Dawai Ozer; \t\t\tPanchen Naropa's lineage was transmitted through Lhodrak Marston Chokyi Lodro to Me Ngog and others, and thus flourished; \t\t\tPyallo Sonam Gyaltsen received Naropa's tradition from Phamthingpa and thus disseminated it; \t\t\tNgog's student lineage, known as the Ram tradition; \t\t\tLater, the Guhyasamaja (Gyes Dorje) Jñana (Wisdom) tradition bestowed upon Taklungpa; \t\t\tAnd the Guhyasamaja (Gyes Dorje) Zhi-sa (Pacification and Concealment) tradition bestowed upon the Omniscient Venerable Taranatha, these being the main among many oral traditions that emerged. \t\t\tAmong them, the continuous practice of empowerments, explanations, and oral instructions (166b) has not declined, and particularly excellent are the transmissions from the two Lotsawas, Marpa and Drogmi, namely the three of Me Ngog, and Tsur, together with the Sakyapa lineage holders, who raised the victory banner of the Glorious Guhyasamaja's explanation and practice teachings until the end of existence. \t\t\tAmong Drogmi's followers, the Sakyapa father and son, there are six well-known Guhyasamaja (Gyes Dorje) traditions: \t\t\tVirupa's oral instruction tradition; \t\t\tDombi's tradition or commentary tradition; \t\t\tTsokye (Lake-born) tradition; \t\t\tNagpo (Black) tradition; \t\t\tAnd Naropa-Maitripa's traditions. Of these, the latter two are now discontinued, hence later generations of the Sakya tradition recognize four bestowed traditions. \t\t\tWhen establishing the root and explanatory tantras, there are two parts: the general meaning and the specific meaning. \t\t\tFor the general meaning, it is explained in four ways: the general presentation of tantra classes, the explanation of the tantra's title and meaning, the oral instructions on how to explain tantra, and the realization of tantra. \t\t\tFor the general presentation, there are two presentations: the fruit to be attained, and the path to attain it. \t\t\tFor the meaning of the tantra's title, there is the expressed meaning, and the expressing sound of the tantra (sentence incomplete).
